View Full Version : Who is "The Mole"?

They brought The Mole back this summer for some reason.
Different host, I guess Anderson Cooper is too big of a news name to do it anymore. :)
Anyone else watching? And any thoughts as to who The Mole might be? I pegged someone for it about a month ago, and not seen anything to change my mind since then...

I'm clueless on who it is. It could be any of them for me right now. What's your guess? The ones I thought keep getting eliminated!

Keeping in mind that I've never actually gotten it right in ANY of the prior seasons, so I'm probably wrong this time too, but I think it's Clay.
And not for anything in particular that HE'S done, although he's not done anything to make me think he ISN'T the Mole.
I picked him based on possible show clues that they've actually given to us as the audience. Last month during one of their sit down dinners, they held a long wide shot of the table, with a wineglass featured very specifically in the foreground. Centered in the middle of the wine glass was Clay.
And last episode, most of the smaller wine barrels that you could see, were stacked in sets of three, and you could see three large ones behind them in the wide group shot after they took the quiz. And where was Clay sitting? In the third seat from the right in the front row.
Coincidence? Probably. But they've given far-out clues just like these in prior seasons, so I've been trying to think like the producers this season. :)
Sorry to see Alex go last time. That was a cheap trick to fill him so full of wine so he couldn't think straight during the quiz. But like someone said, he didn't HAVE to keep drinking it...

I've been thinking that Craig was the mole since the beginning. However, Clay is my second choice as the mole.

Well, I think Nicole is the mole. But if she is, she is a very bad mole. I too have looked for the far out clues and not seen any of them.
Did ya'll see the Celebrity Moles where Stephen Baldwin was trying to analyze EVERYTHING? It was so funny he got to do both of them.
I am not sure why they haven't been doing it but I LOVE this show. We should have a Gomer mole. that would be fun. I have heard of people putting together MOLE games, that would be so much fun!
I heard Anderson Cooper didn't get his big gig until after the Mole?

Sometimes I think Clay because he's so smart and so cool. Sometimes I think Mark cuz he too is very smart and is openly trying so hard to figure out who the mole is. Sometimes I think Craig just as he seems to be the underdog. I try not to think of Nicole at all. She bugs the crap out of me. However.... she doesn't really seem smart enough to have stayed this long if she's not the mole. Also, she doesn't seem like a real person, she seems like someone who is acting, even in her little private interview moments she seems fake. She reminds me of the people who were the "contestants" on The Joe Schmo show. Now THAT was a great show!!!

I loved Celebrity Mole, and actually Stephen Baldwin is the only celebrity that I remember that was on those shows! So nice, he got to play twice. :)
And I'm too lazy to look it up, but isn't Anderson Cooper actually a famous someone's son? I remember that he was just getting started on CNN or one of those news networks, and did The Mole to fill in and get some exposure, but while he was doing those, I thought I remembered hearing that he was related to someone famous. Anyone remember so I don't have to look it up? ;)

I can honestly say that with the exception of the William Hung rejects episode, I've never seen a single other episode of American Idol. (Not even when local boy Clay Aiken was on it. :P )
Or Ice Road Truckers either. LOL. :D ;)
I am a sucker for "So You Think You Can Dance" though.

I LOVED JOE SCHMO!!!!!!!!! Too bad it would be difficult to pull that one off again. That was awesome!!!
Andi, guilty of MOLE, BB but not AI. It does tend to be us same ole gals hangin out in the Trash TV threads!! :P

I think they could pull it off again. As ridiculous as some of these shows have gotten on Bravo etc.... (Date my ex.... Dance your *** off.... these are real shows) I think they could do it. One of those stations should at least re-air both seasons. Classic tv.... brilliant tv. I may go to Amazon and buy the dvds just so I can watch them!

Oh, and my other summertime guilty pleasure:
I just love to watch people "Hassle the Hoff" on America's Got Talent.
They do get some really talented people on that show, although I'm amazed at the people who come on stage honestly thinking that they can sing, and can't carry a tune to save their lives. Don't they have friends to tell them "No, honey, you really CAN'T sing! Please don't go on the show and embarrass us!"
I still keep hoping that Leonid the Magificent will come back and give it one more go. He was definitely an odd one, but I never got tired of watching him perform. I think he said after they "X"d him the last time, that he wouldn't be back again though. :(

And once again, I WAS WRONG!!!
Maaan, now I have to start rethinking the remaining players and figure out which one of THEM is the Mole.
Drat. :)

He made it to the final 3! I'm still pulling for Craig to be the mole! Although it could be any of these three.

I have NO IDEA who it's going to be. I love Craig. It would be cool if it's him. Mark could have totally snowed us all with him compulsion for details. Nicole... she seems like a really bad actress in a D movie so it could be her too. I'm gonna be shocked no matter who it is. I can't wait to see all the clues that I missed!

I'm thinking it's Mark, which means that Mark is probably NOT it, if my history with this show is any indication. :P
But I think Nicole is just too darn obvious to be the Mole, no mole worth his/her moleness would so blatantly screw up as many games as she has. And what was with her attitude in Monday's episode!?!  She needed to trade in her Happy Camper shirt for one that said "I Love My Attitude Problem".
Craig seems the LEAST likely person to actually be the Mole, which would make him the MOST likely person, one would think. Except that the producers would think that we'd think that way and so make him NOT the Mole.
Leaving just Mark, who, other than the fact that he just out and out refused to do a couple of the assigned tasks (like running around that one city in his underwear looking for clothes), hasn't really done anything particularly Mole like, I don't think. Most of the time he competed really HARD to get the cash, except Monday when he opted to lose the $75,000 in this last show to get the Mole's dossier. That was kind of the ultimate in subtle Mole behavior though: Cost the team the cash, AND keep the other two from getting the dossier. Plus he got that exemption the last time, again preventing anyone else from getting it.
So yeah, I'm thinking probably Mark. At least until he gets the boot NEXT time, then I'll pick one of the other two. LOL.

Have you ever seen The Princess Bride? This TOTALLY reminded me of the poison conversation Vizzini had with Westley. Hilarous!

Have you ever seen The Princess Bride? This TOTALLY reminded me of the poison conversation Vizzini had with Westley. Hilarous!
Vizzini! That was the guy's name! Thank you! I actually started a similar Mole thread on a different board and when I said essentially the same thing, that Craig would be the least likely person to be the Mole, but because we'd probably think that he WAS the Mole because of that, the producers WOULDN'T make him the Mole, and I compared it to that specific scene in The Princess Bride, I just couldn't think of the guy's name, so just called him "the bald guy"! :D
Vincini: You'd like to think that wouldn't you?!? You've beaten my
giant which means you're exceptionally strong, so you could've put the
poison in your own goblet trusting on your strength to save you, so I
can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But, you've also
bested my Spaniard, which means you must've studied--and in studying
you must've learned that man is mortal, so you would've put the poison
as far from yourself as possible, so I can clearly not choose the wine
in front of me.
The whole scene is here:

Ouch, my head! :P
I love that movie. Some great one liners.

One of my favs is when Carol Kane comes running in the room yelling LIAR!!! What a great movie.
Inigo Montoya: Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
Count Rugen: Stop saying that!
Miracle Max: You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles.
Inigo Montoya: He's right on top of us. I wonder if he is using the same wind we are using.
Inigo Montoya: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.
Westley: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.
I could go on and on but I'm at work and all this laughing is probably suspicious!

I also love the Princess Bride, but due to lack of sleep, I cannot recall any of my favorite lines.
I am pulling for either one of the guys to win. All I got to say (again)is if Nicole is the Mole, SHE IS A BAD ONE!!!! I so hope she doesn't win it.

And my perfect record still stands!
Yet another season of The Mole, where I once again had the wrong person pegged as the Mole.
Although this time I SORT of had it right, I said that he was the least likely person to actually BE the Mole, which meant he probably WAS it. But decided that they would probably know we'd think that, so I clearly could NOT drink the wine in front of ME! ;)
What about those "clues" that they left us? A set of coordinates inside the thumbprint on one screen? Or those digitially enhanced statues behind Clay with the four "I"s, to spell out "Four Eyes"? The only one that really was a legitimate clue was the fact that he never once had his name called during an execution. I liked my clues better, particularly the one with Clay framed in the wineglass. Never mind the fact that they were completely wrong, but they were still better clues than what the producers came up with, IMHO. LOL

Those were crazy clues. Could you tell Nicole was a little upset? She hid it better than Jessie on BB. But she was definately upset. I thought that was pretty unique strategy of Paul to get everyone wound up at dinner before the quiz. I think my strategy if I were playing would be to try to screw up every challenge I could. If they had gotten 100% at every challenge they would have been WAY up there in $ when even at the last minute they could have had 500,000, the max. And Mark got in by the SKIN of his teeth! I am glad he won. He deserved to win, he definately played the hardest.
