Camp Rock

Has anybody seen this? It is a Disney Channel movie, and my cousin taped it for us and I really like it. I think it is kind of a High School Musical copy-cat though, but I love highschool musical. It has the Jonas Brothers in it, and a new actress named Demi Lovoto (she is VERY pretty I might add :D)

I absolutely loved Camp Rock. Mainly because I am a HUGE fan of the Jonas Brothers. It had a great story, awsome music, and the Jonas Brothers were in it. What else could you ask for? :) It ROCKED!

I watched it. It was cool. But I wish they would have sang more. But I think they were trying to avoid the whole "cheesy musical" feel. Unlike High School Musical. And that's okay. Some people don't like cheesy musicals. But I'm not one of them. :D

Yeah, one of the reasons that they did Camp Rock the way that it was done was so that it wouldn't be a musical, but that the singing and performances would be real performances and not random musical numbers. This is one of the reasons that I liked it. And as I said already, it has the Jonas Brothers in it.

It came on again tonight twice and I couldn't stop watching it once I started. It was better than I remembered. Camp Rock is a great movie, and I am so glad that the Jonas Brothers were able to be in it. Also, Demi Lovato did such a great job as Mitchie. I think they picked the right girl to play Mitchie, because Demi can SING!

I was so excited about this movie. I liked the movie, but I was slightly disappointed in some of the music. From a parental perspective, some of the songs I am not going to want my kids singing. We love HSM and HSM2. The snobby songs in CR aren't as making fun of the snotty people as in HSM's. Does that make sense? In fact we had a "fabulous" birthday party a few weeks ago.
But the "I'm too cool" scene wasn't even cute.

I agree that Tess did get on my nerves and her songs were not that great, but I loved the rest of the songs in Camp Rock. Especially "This Is Me" and "I Just Wanna Play My Music". But even in the end Tess apologized to everyone, and we saw why she acted like she did.

Yes, she did. I love the great songs, but the bad songs are the ones that stick out to me.

Agreed :D I was certain I wouldn't like it so I waited until it came out on HBO to see it. But, I loved loved loved it! Since then I have watched it multiple times. And I never really liked Zac Efron (Because of HSM, liked it but a little too cheesy) but woo I thought he was so dreamy in Hairspray! :o

My cousin has a life-size cardboard cutout of Zac Efron as Link Larkin. It's great. ;)

I am glad you liked Camp Rock. Most people think they won't like it until they watch it. I love it!

I totally agree! Demi can SING. The Jonas Brothers are awsome in it as well. I think that it is so funny how their characters in the movie are so different from the way they really act. Except for Nick, because Kevin and Joe both agree that Nick is the boss. :D

haha i know right! joe is NOTHING like that at all but you didnt really see much of the charactors personalities of the other boys so i couldnt really tell lol but that movie was the bomb.com -lol-

Yeah, Joe is totally opposite from Shane, except for at the end. The one that made me laugh the most was Kevin's character, because Kevin is so smart in real life. They made his character kind of out of it all the time. He mad me laugh everytime he spoke in the movie. :) "How's my birdhouse coming along?"
