Just started reading this for Mark Lee's Summer Reading club. Anyone read it? I really love it so far. Heathcliff is an interesting character and makes me want to read on.

I don't know the book, but I love the song, which is based on the story. Kate Bush's vocal is hard to get used to, but once you get past that, it's quite an excellent song. The video is from 1978, so it's cheap. http://youtube.com/watch?v=WChywYrwHBY

Wonderful writing, great story and I loved Kate Bush's song and loved her music and voice... I must have a look at some of it... :)

I haven't read this in years, but I did just finish The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte. :)

Thanks for posting the Kate Bush video, James. I don't think I've ever heard her sound quite like that.

Well I finished it. Took me a while, what with the death of my grandmother and everything, but I finally finished the book. It was pretty good, I must say. I really began to hate Heathcliff and Linton Heathcliff. I found Linton too whiney and bratty, like Colin Craven in The Secret Garden.

Just because of this thread and the Kate Bush song being stuck in my head all weekend, I decided to re-read this. Yep, not many redeeming characters in it as of yet.

I haven't read Wuthering Heights. I have a friend who has and she didn't like it at all. I do plan to read it and form my own opinion.

Having just finished an Anne Bronte novel, I must say that I liked the AB novel better. I'm still forming my opinion about WH, though.

I liked the plot but I didn't like 90% of the characters. I'd have to say, I did really like Charlotte Bronte's style of fiction much better than her sister's. I haven't read and Anne Bronte, what did she write? I can look it up online and read it. :P

I finished it a couple weeks ago! Lol I should be working on finishing Les Mis, but I have been totally unmotivated.

Well, I'm glad there was a happy ending. I was getting really frustrated with all the characters!
