Landscapes Photo Contest
Rivers. Mountains. Canyons. Plains. Forests. The world is full of beautiful landscapes. Now you can show us your best landscape photo in our Landscapes Photography Contest. The winner of this photography contest will receive a prize and also be entered in a drawing for a special prize at the conclusion of all the photography contests. The special grand prize is a sealed cassette of Third Day's independent album Contagious and the winner's choice of an art print from Jason's artwork at:
http://www.JasonMitchener.com/artworkforsale.php
Rules:
1. You may only submit one photo.
2. The subject of the photo must be a landscape.
3. The photo must be under 100kb. If you need help with resizing, please send a private message to Jason.
4. You must e-mail your landscape photo to Jason at jason@jasonmitchener.com between Monday, July 7th, at 12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time and Tuesday, July 8th, at 9:59 pm Eastern Standard Time.
5. You must also send Jason a private message on the Third Day Message Board informing him that you sent a photo submission e-mail.
6. A poll will be posted with entries by Wednesday July 9th. The poll will end three days later.
7. The winner of the poll will win the Landscapes Photography Contest.
8. For fair play, please don’t contact your friends to vote for your photo. All entries will be posted in the poll without the photographer’s name. Let’s keep this contest based on great photos, not on photographers with lots of friends.
9. During the contest and for a couple days prior, any related photo threads in the Creative Arts Corner on the Third Day Message Board will be temporarily taken down to allow submission of previously posted photos without the public knowledge of the specific photographer.
10. Have fun!
Please direct any questions to Jason in this thread or by sending him a private message.

LOL. I saw that Pearls before Swine yesterday. Pretty funny.
(the avatar is actually "Achmed, the dead terrorist", just one of about five dummies from comedian/ventriloquist Jeff Dunham's act. I'd never heard of the guy before, but watched one of his DVDs this weekend, and he had me laughing so hard I had tears coming out of my eyes and almost had coffee coming out my nose. Not necessarily everyone's cup of tea, but I thought it was so funny I borrowed the DVD to watch again this week. :D )

Jeff Dunham is great...I think Achmed and Peanut are my favorite.

My sister absolutely ADORES Peanut. I just looked at him and went "what exactly is he supposed to BE!?!" and then kept laughing all through his "Jeh-fuh-fuh DUN-HAAAAAM! *dun-haaaaam!*" bit. :P
Walter's suicide bomber bit had me rolling though.
'Course, you know the part that REALLY had me going. Before he brings out the dummies and does his whole spiel on having to trade in one of his SUVs for a "powder blue" Prius. *makes noise like a toy car* "Vrrrrrrroooom... Neep! Neep!" :D
I still can't believe the guy is on his second DVD and I'd never heard of him before. :o Just where have I been!?!
Ahhh, I love a good thread hijack, I do! ;) Sorry, Jason.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering if that was the one you saw. :P
Some of the dummies bring it up too...like "That's not a car. That's a lunchbox." :P

Jeff Dunham is awesome.
You should see him in person. He came to Raleigh a few years ago and we went. He is amazing and hilarious.

LOL. I think almost ALL of them bring it up in some form or another. The one thing that perplexes me about them all commenting on it being small, is it's NOT. Short it is, it definitely sits low to the ground and probably COULD drive under an 18 wheeler. :P But I have a hard time classifying a 4 door hatchback sedan that you can fit a 7 foot Christmas tree into as "small". Now, a one pound Chihuahua that is smaller than a dog pile, now THAT is small. :D
Watched it again tonight. I didn't laugh quite so hard as the first time, but I STILL had tears coming out of my eyes during Walter's bit on the suicide bombers.
I LOVE JEFF FUH FUH DUN HAM!!!
He's the other white meat. :P

I'd never even heard of him before this weekend, although the gal in the suite next to ours at work, who drives a matching pretty powder blue Prius, mentioned a comedian one time, who did a big spiel on Prius drivers, but she couldn't think of his name. I'm thinking it was most likely Jeh-fuh-fuh Dun-HAAAAAAM, but haven't seen her yet this week to ask her.
He's actually performing in Greensboro and Fayetteville according to his website, but he be sold out already for both of them. :(
That's okay, some September show at Walnut Creek pretty much ate up most of my concert money for the summer anyway.
