I saw this movie with my family today, and I have to say that it was one of Disney and Pixar's best. The story was great, the characters were cute as well as funny, and the visual effects and stuff were awsome. It is a movie perfect for all ages. It is truly a family friendly movie, and I highly recommend it.

My mate Eddie has been waiting for this movie to be released for several months now. I have never known anyone to get so exited about a movie!
He will be pleased with your review - he has been hoping that is as good as the trailers they released a long time ago.

You may be bored as there's very little dialog.

Less subtle but as this thread is about a love story, forgivable. ;)

Eventhough Wall E did not have very much dialog, it never got boring. It was actually quite funny, because everything was communicated with actions and sounds.

Did they sound like R2-D2?? I love him! LOL!
My friend's 3 year old was dying to see this, and I have to say I'm excited too! I'll have to wait till it comes out on DVD, but I have a substantial Pixar collection and I totally love their movies. Still think Cars was the best. ;)

BTW - the official WALL.E site has some great mini clips that I don't think are in the movie.

Actually, yes. I heard many sounds that were similar to the droids on Star Wars. In fact alot of the sound effects while in space sounded very similar to Star Wars.

i didn't think it was that good.
i was actually pretty board. I mean, the idea ws cute and all, but it was like they didn't even know where they were going with it, and it seemed sloppy, like it was just slapped together.
guys seem 2 like it more than chicks, unless thats just me. ;)

Hmm...
Well, I thought it was brilliant-- not only my favorite movie this year, but one of my favorite movies ever. It was breathtaking, funny, clever... I had a smile on my face the whole time. This wasn't just a good Pixar movie, or a good animated movie, or a good kid's movie-- this was a good movie, period.

Saw it this afternoon. I'm a chick, and I loved it, loved it, loved it! ;)
I've been wanting to see it since I saw the first trailers for it, since they looked absolutely hilarious, and the more trailers I saw, the more I wanted to see it.
It did not disappoint. I laughed, I "awwwww"ed. I ogled over the typically great pixar animation, I mentally nodded wisely over the none too subtle messages about our environmental issues and our "need to buy everything in sight, and supersize it!" consumerism.
And I completely fell in love with WALL-E. How a box o' bolts on wheels could show SO much emotion was just great. And I liked the cockroach. :D
Great movie. Ranks right up there with Monsters Inc and Nemo as one of my favorite Pixar movies. (and as an aside for Genna, I actually am one of the few and far between who didn't care for "Cars" at all. Probably one of my LEAST favorite Pixar movies.)

I believe that if you are a girl you will enjoy this movie because it's kinda like a cartoon chick flick.

A true robot romance! ;)
But it's got something for everyone: romance, action and suspense, humor, more humor, topped with still MORE humor.

I loved it. I did think it got a little slow about 3/4 of the way through but then it picked up speed again through to the end. I really loved it. Also.... what about the "short" before it started with the magician and the rabbit? THAT was brilliant!

Mom and I went to see it this afternoon, and we loved it. The emotion they managed to create within these little robots was simply amazing. The animation, graphics, and effects have got to be some of the most incredible that I've seen.
Thoroughly enjoyable, no matter what your age

I haven't seen it, and I'm not excited to see it. My uncle and two cousins just saw it and my uncle said he couldn't wait for it to be over! Lol. I think I would find it boring...I'm gettin' sick of Pixar movies..."Monsters Inc." was good, oh and "The Incredibles" I like, but I've kinda had enough now I think! ;)

I wasn't terribly impressed with it. The two kids I took to see it (my 4 and 6 year old cousins) fell asleep during it so apparently, they weren't too thrilled either.

I didn't particularly care for The Incredibles or Cars, both of which people had raved about. So it's great that Pixar does such a variety of movies, so there's something for everyone. :)
I still think the Pixar Shorts DVD that came out either earlier this year or last year, with the first batch of their short films (like the one with the magician and his rabbit that played before Wall-E) all consolidated onto one DVD. Sometimes the shorts are funnier than the films. :D

Interesting. He made his actual intent more subtle than the unintended intent that most people actually seem to read into it. :)
So I came up with this premise that could demonstrate what I was trying to say—that irrational love defeats the world's programming. You've got these two robots that are trying to go above their basest directives, literally their programming, to experience love.
With the human characters I wanted to show that our programming is the routines and habits that distract us to the point that we're not really making connections to the people next to us. We're not engaging in relationships, which are the point of living—relationship with God and relationship with other people.
I mean, yeah, that was definitely there, particularly the love story between Wall-E and Eve, which was really front and center, but all the stuff that he used to try and get his point across - the BnL stores, every thing being supersized, etc. - essentially buried the point he was trying to make in all the trash. ;)
No matter. STILL a good movie regardless of exactly what people get out of it. :)

i'm pretty sure the BnL stores were supposed to be Wal-Marts after they take over the world ;)

Some of the background robot action on the ship was confusing.
