So, anymore, the word "free" means absolutly nothing, because it always has "subscribtion charges" taged on it somewhere.
So, my friend told me about this site, myxer.com, and yyou can get free wallpaper/ringtones (verizon phones are excluded from the free ringtones, stupied verizon policy)
some you have to pay for, so watch out, but I've found that most are free, and not only the crappy ones either.
I've been using it for awhile now, and no charges (except for the text charge, but I have a plan w/ verizon so I pay $5 a month and get 250)

So if your into it, definitly try it.

Anyone know of any other websites where you can get cell phone stuff that actually is free? Much appriciated <3

I use myxer all the time. You can even make your own ringtones for free. I've made a few that I couldn't find and wanted.

I got it to work I did it through the alternative method which is downloading the tones to my pc then sending them by email/texts to my phone. It's easy as pie

no they aren't because I have Verizon and I use it. Now it is true that Verizon because of its policy does not support direct download to my phone with my phone's web browser. But there is alternative method

1. save the ringtone file on my pc

2. email it to my phone as an attachment from my email account(yahoo, hotmail, ect.)

3 when I get the email(text message) on my phone all you do is save the sound file and than set it as ur ringtone thats all

my friend told me about the site a few weeks ago when I got my phone from Verizon. I really wish I could dl ringtones but thats ok, I did find a couple nice Boston Red Sox wallpapers that I added. the good thing about it I get unlimited txt msging so it doesnt costs me anything. Great site though.
