Is it just me, and this setup at work, or does number 12 slightly change colors as you scroll by it? I can make it get darker or lighter depending on where my angle of viewing is... kind-of cool..

I am wondering how number 10 was shot.?? I don't have a lens that can get that close..

Ok.....I'll step forward and take claim of #10. I am really glad that you all liked it! :D It took many tries to get what I was looking for. And it involved sore knees from kneeling on the driveway:rolleyes: . And a sore back from trying to get the angle just right with the sun behind the flower.

I used my Canon Powershot S3 for it....which I've had great results with the macro and the super macro settings.

Here's a few of my other attempts of the same flower where I used different settings that didn't quite work for me:

OK....so it's beyond me why no one voted for #11:eek: . I think that rose is gorgeous! I would have voted for it, but I felt obligated to for for my own:rolleyes: since I thought it might be the only vote I got:o

In keeping with the publication of what we did and how...(although no one actually voted for me.. :P )

This is the same flower with adjustments made to lighting and exposure. these picture are about 10 minutes apart total.. I didn't spend much time on this. My wife said the flower would be around for days, but it was gone by the next day.

This was actually very educational for me!
