I was struck by a statement Sam made in a thread, saying that sometimes we focus too much on the hereafter. This lyric just flowed from that.

Here and Now

I believe in the hereafter
In that trip beyond the clouds
But I won’t wait for heaven
When I can praise you … here and now

CHORUS:
Here and now
I feel Your presence
Here and now
I’m touched by grace
And if I look closely, Lord
Here and now
I see Your face

I have stood in the pouring rain
I have been flat on the ground
And I have fought and still lost
But I will praise you … here and now

CHORUS:
Here and now
I feel Your presence
Here and now
I’m touched by grace
And if I look closely, Lord
Here and now
I see Your face

Right on!

You're good J. I can hear that as I read it.

Now... I know you've got a bridge for it... c'mon... ;)

Yeah, but it didn't seem right.

Bridge:
When I feel your glory ...
When I feel your power ...
When I see you, Jesus ...
I know it's now the hour

Oh I changed verse two from:

I have stood in the pouring rain
I have been flat on the ground
And I have fought and still lost
But I will praise you … here and now

to ...

I have stood in the pouring rain
I have been knocked to the ground
Oh, I have fought and still lost
But I will praise you … here and now

You told me storms would come Lord.
That this was not an easy road.
But You said that you'd be with me,
No matter where I go---.

;)

That's just me. I always try to swing a bridge through an opposite thought, and lead back to the hope the chorus produces. It's funny you would just come up with a song called "Here And Now", and my last one would be called "Where You Are". :D

Got it up for you: http://thirdday.com/boards/showthread.php?t=103800

We've shuffled our practice schedule this week, because we're playing at my church Sun. evening. I'll probably be able to get something that afternoon, when we practice it out a little.

(It sure did go over well at last nights service though) ;)

Very nice song Jason, I can relate to the words to the song. You have a great talent. I would love to hear the song some day. Take care and God bless you. Love Marjan:)
