This article is purely speculation, so I'll take it with a grain of salt. With that being said, if he decides to convert to Catholicism after he leaves office, more power to him.

My personal opinion/thought is that President Bush's openness to Catholics, the Pope, etc. could stem more from the social principles of the United Methodist Church as opposed to a desire to convert to Catholicism. As Methodists, we believe in respecting the theologies of other churches and people.

No one is beyond God's mercy... I never voted for Bush. But hey, even if Osama Bin Laden or... perhaps worse, Barrack Obama (or even Oprah!) decided to become Catholic, we'd take 'em!

I agree tis does sound kinda fishy to to me. I find it ironic because that catholic church and Islam will come into some kinda agreement pretty soon watch and see. its the merging of the toes on the statue that Daniel saw in a vision. And that was the first thing that the rock hit when it came down the mountain. Some dont agree but thats fine we can all have opinions.

Ridiculous. This is a ridiculous statement. Either Muslims will become Catholic and accept the Trinity and the deity of Christ or Catholics can reject them and become Islam, but there can be no mixing of the two. Honestly, you are out of touch with reality if you think otherwise.

Our loyalty needs to be with Christ....not religion....esp religions with corrupt pasts and enormous power. In the end times, anything could happen...
