Being a coach and a teacher, it stinks sometimes that im late getting going on things i want to do (like pre-order third day records!!!)

Got to say, so worth the wait. Im listening to the stream now and holy smokes!! Gods hand is all over this thing, man i hope they can break into mainstream rock and get this album out there. People need to hear it, i know i did.

Congrats third day on another awesome record!

Mac commented at Sonfest how there are different doors opening up for them and that there was a lot of discussion on the message boards about whether this was a good thing. He reminded everyone that 3D still very much enjoys singing about Jesus. No reassurance needed here because Revelation is great!

it stinks i don't get to come on much anymore. We figured that saving an internet payment and me and the wife just checking the net at the library was worthit with gas prices and all.

My car stero is screaming for this album lol

Hi Elaine,
Thanks for sharing what Mac had to say about Revelation. The part about this that bothers me is that Mac may have felt the need to defend Revelation. There have been other threads discussing this whole "crossover" issue and whether or not it is a good thing. I have basically kept my mouth shut since those types of threads get so heated and I have a thin skin. But to know that Mac was defending or feeling that he had to explain Revelation bothers me. I don't know why people are so quick to think that the men of Third Day would just drop their faith in the Lord and start playing music to get rich!!! If people can't already tell by their past music and their lifestyle what the guys stand for, then why are they listening to Third Day to start with. To me it is already apparent what Third Day stands for, and I for one would not assume that they are going to "sell out" and kick Jesus to the curb until I see evidence that they have done so. And the evidence I have seen from the CD Revelation tells me that the guys are just as on fire for the Lord as they have ever been, if not more. I know God will bless this CD, those who listen to it, and that the doors that are opening for the guys are for God's glory!!

GREAT POST! You SHOULD get involved in those other threads as your message is right on point!

It was good to hear him say it, but I kept thinking that most of the people from here who probably NEEDED to hear him say it weren't at that show. All of us from here who WERE there, well, I think he was just preaching to the choir so to speak. :)

But I finally read the Billboard thing since Doug saved it for me. I just didn't get out of it ANY of the negative stuff that some folks were reading into it. I guess people just interpret things different ways...

But yeah, excellent CD. The more I hear it, wherever I hear it, the better I like it.

I know Mac spoke from the heart, but agree his message was for the ones who have doubts. Many more will hear it when the show goes up on WIRED radio. I picked up the Billboard magazine last week and enjoyed the article. God knows where 3D is heading and He will continue to use them for His glory.

I just listened to Revelation via the link kindly provided. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT LINK !!!! Revelation is ABSOLUTELY the GREATEST YET !!! I didn't think Third Day could EVER top what they have done to this point and in my opinion THEY DID IT !!! (not that there was a need to do this. I LOVE them so much). I am just in AWE over this album and I can't wait to get my copy !!!!! Third Day just gets better and better as time goes on. :P

Thanks Sandy!! Don't know if I will post on the other threads though!:D I had just been holding in my thoughts for awhile, and I got to the point where I could not keep my opinion to myself!! It just bothers me deeply to think Mac, or any of the members of Third Day, would feel that they had to defend their faith or assure people that they are not selling out.

At the moment I have access to a computer instead of mobile web which is all I have. I have heard the songs on the 3D website and there is no doubt in my mind as to where their heart is and what they are communicating to anyone who listens. I have been blown away by what I've heard. I wasn't expecting it to be this incredible. In addition, the lyrics truly speak of where I am and the hope I have in Christ even though things are very uncertain. If I had a way, I'd give everyone a copy when it comes out. I can't get the link to hear the cd for free and the person whose computer I'm on is on vacation so I don't know why it wont work for me. that's ok though, it just makes me MORE eager for July29 when, Lord willing I can go out and get a copy( unless I can't walk at all on that day I will be at the store when they open!). Hopefully Mac's words will reassure those who needed reassuring.

I remember the same disussions a couple years ago when Wired came out...

I once again see it as an amazing way to reach others for Christ. Thats really what it comes down too. I think as Christians, we sometimes forget that this music is for everyone and we sometimes get caught up being a fan and at time maybe selfish. But it reality, we should hope and pray that all of our favorite Christian bands can cross over in some type of way so we can reach the masses! And I believe after listening to Revelation everyday that it will reach others!!!!

Amen!

Marmoo and USC you guys are spot on in your statements. I will go a little further and add to the discussion. You guys are right Mac shouldn't have to defend himself or the band's faith as its apparent. A lot of this material is about everyday struggle and to let people know that we don't have to be alone in fighting our battles. Music dealing with hope and healing saved me in 2006 (Mountain of God by Third Day to be precise) and to me its just as important as songs about praising Jesus. What we sometimes fail to realize is in the end whether you do it this way or that way, as long as you are doing this by the grace of God and through God's glory from the gifts he gave you then you won't be steered down the wrong path.

Thanks for sharing this post, I agree Mac shouldn't have to defend the new cd. Third Day's songs are amazing, they have helped me through a tough time in my life. Love the songs on the new cd, very powerful. Marjan:D

I have been listening to the free stream of Revelation that Corrine shared with us in another thread. The more I hear this CD the more I am blown away. This CD rocks, and it is full of the message that people need to hear. I am stuck on Slow Down, Run to You, and The Otherside. I have not even heard the end of the album much since I keep repeating the first few songs because they rock!!! LOL!!! I will make it to the end eventually. :P :D
