Ok, posting this here as it seems to draw movie buffs...
I have had this story perculating for about 4 yrs...but the title is LAME..and I need a GREAT one.
Here's the basic story/pitch:
Romantic Comedy
Eric Miller's dream comes true when he inherits 250,000 allowing him to go to Russia to pick his internet Russian bride. His dreams are shattered though when the three finalists/women turn out to be not-so honest about themselves, which lands him in jail on one account. However, he meets a lovely and genuine girl named Natalia, in Moscow's central park and they click immediately. They spend three meaningful and fun days together. There is a serious love connection.
Fate delivers a mean and nasty blow when they BOTH lose each others contact information. Lost, they never hear from each other upon Erics retun home to the USA. However, one year later, Eric sees his girl in his hometown of Seattle which triggers a cross country chase to find her. She doesn't know who is after her and thinks it is a stalker. Throughout, she is with a man. Eric finally catches up with her at a July 4th celebration in Washington DC only to find him with his best friend and boss.
One year later, they are at his bosses home for Christmas. Eric and Natalia are engaged and its revealed that his boss tracked her down and brought her to the USA, never telling her about Eric. He allowed fate to work and hoped Eric would finally get some nerve and motivation. He had his hand in on key aspects of her travels in the US...only as a friend and boss.

The working title is Finding Moscow.
The influences are Serendipity, Anger Management and other romantic comedies with twists and turns.
Ideas or thoughts?
Thanks !!!!!

Ok its a little corny but you could do something like "With Love From Russia" or something like that. That is unfortunately the best I can come up with. Are you trying to get it produced.

Yeh...From Russia with love is taken....
I'll be trying to sell it among 3 others this fall. I'll need to land an agent, then they'll do the leg work....
Fingers crossed...

My only comment is that the title "Finding Moscow" reminds me of Finding Neverland.
I think you should find the Russian word for Serendipity and call it that. :)

I know it isn't a "great one" but something I thought about.
The story sounds interesting. If by any chance they make movie for this, I'll go watch it. Just make it "AWESOMENESS!!!" Please.
P.S. If I have more ideas, I'll share it with you.

Good ones...keep the coming...remember, clever and unique- ORIGINAL
I really am stumped...and I do create good TITLES. Ughh...i'm so stumped...
I'm gonna be shopping 4 scripts this Sept:
1. Song of the Firefly - A young Amish woman falls in love with her piano teacher she is secretly taking lessons from. She's a prodigy. Set in the 40s.
2. Finding Moscow - See above :)
3. The Forest - A retired cop's dream home/estate is haunted by a ghost trying to tell him something with bizarre and unearthly noises. The message is a warning of a tragedy about to unfold, causing him to save the day and rekindle his passion for the police force and also a new love interest.
4. Friendfinder - A man cheats on his finace' before they marry but it creates a nightmare as one of the girls goes physcho on him, stalking and wrecking his life. At the end though, the joke is on him even worse than he imagined.
I'm also working on:
1. Restin Peace - A grandmother's will decrees that her family, two estranged sons, uncle and their kids will recieve a 10 million dollar inheritance if they can get along in following her last wishes. Placing her ashes at several important places in her life story. The lawyer oversees the all BLACK family on a cross country journey in an old RV....which turns into a fiasco as her places and wishes are crazy and imaginative. They complete the journey only to find she has faked her death as a practical joke and a means to bringt the fueding family back together.
2. Reckoning day- Someone is killing rapists and molestors in NYC, before the cops can catch them...even leaving clues for the cops as to their crimes. The cops re almost sympathetic which leads the main detective to think its soemone on the force. A cops and robber storlying ensues but in the end, its the detective who is the ringleader in a country wide, vigilante group of cops taking the law into their own hands. One more twist to the story kicks the viewer in the gut....
Hope to see ya'll at one of the premiers soon...
