Great tourist destination??

Hey all, Burma is not in the news any more - life has moved on for the rest of the world - the situation is still dire...

I realise that you may feel like you can't do anything - but would like to encourage you to keep reading the posts that are put on the boards here - and please, please pray - we battle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in high places - please write the word Burma onto a slip of paper, post it on your fridge and pray every time you enter your kitchen, or post it onto your bathroom mirror and pray everytime you brush your teeth - it will help...

There was an article on the news tonight about how the government is still refusing aid. So much is wrong, and so many will never get any help. And they can't even have their story heard. It is crime to even speak to the foreign press. One monk in the area was furious to talk though. On top of the lack of aid, destruction of infrastructure, the terrible loss of life, and the possible onset of disease, he says the floodwaters now occupy their crops and grain fields; so the possibility of famine is another problem they'll have to deal with.... alone. :(
