I loved this article, thought I would share...

Most little girls dream of being a princess for the day, but all eight-year-old Kristina Roberts ever wanted was to become a jousting knight.

That dream came true as she became the smallest jouster to take part in the medieval tournament at Warwick Castle, on her own 2ft 6in pony Buzz.

Kristina had written to Warwick Castle to ask if she could join the jousters and staff were delighted to help make her dream come true.

Mum Linda said: "Kristina has always got her head buried in a book about knights and horses. We came to see the jousting last summer and since then she's not stopped talking about it. She has even been practising at home with a mop!"

Another picture - strikes fear into St George! (I am sure the little horse enjoyed the day too).

Sweet! How does one get in on that action? Her helmet reminds me of the knight from the Holy Grail who lost all of his appendages.

All he ever wished for was to be the faithful steed of a brave knight. :D

That is really cool, last time we were in NZ we missed a jousting tournament by one weekend - we were all very sad as we're all fans of "A Knight's Tale"...

How utterly fab!! Warwick castle really go for it with the whole medieval thing.
We walked through the grounds last year - there we heaps of people dressed up to entertain the people waiting in the line to pay. As the wait was several hours they needed to be entertained!!
