A new band member?

Can anyone tell me who Scotty (I think that is his name) is? He played with them in Williamsburg and Mac introduced him along with all the others. I was just wondering.... he fit in very well.

Scotty is the keyboard player that they take with them on the road. He is not an official member of Third Day. He is a musician that they take with them on the road. He has been accompanying them on the road for quite some time now. Forget just how long. But he is a great keyboard player!!! Does that clear up the confusion??? Can't wait to meet you at Virginia Beach!! :D

Before he started touring with Third Day, Scotty Wilbanks played for 10 years with Newsong. He also is the producer for DecembeRadio.

Hi Cindee! Welcome!!

Scotty has been around for a very long time. Until a few years ago, he was a more behind the scenes figure with Third Day. Even though Geoff Barkley toured with the band and played keys, Scotty played the keys on the recordings. Geoff may have done a few, I don't recall.

Scotty has the Funk! he's got SPUNK and SPASMATAZ!!! Scotty is the KING OF KEYS!! Best performing keyboard player I have ever heard or seen. He brings his own thing to the stage, he fits right in and is a very huge part of the show...as the British say in a very good way "WICKED"!!

Besides producing DecembeRadio's (http://www.decemberadio.com) albums, he is also working on their 2nd along with other bands, Echoing Angels, House of Thomas and others. A very busy busy guy.

I believe there are about 500 Scotty Wilbanks....that man is everywhere. Check out the liner notes on alot of your cds and there he is....nice guy too!

I don't think there is an instrument he can't play. I even saw him play the bagpipes when he was with Newsong.

BTW, Debbie, Geoff played on Wherever You Are. Scotty was on that one, too. For a while, Geoff was the touring keyboardist and Scotty was on the recordings. He couldn't travel with them because he was still with Newsong. After he left Newsong, and Third Day found themselves in need of a touring keyboarding, Scotty started playing for them. He is very animated. He's also a very nice guy. And very busy! He has produced several albums from DecembeRadio to Echoing Angels to Overflow. :)

The first time i saw scotty on a third day youtube concert clip(on a friends computer) i was blown away by his keys and by his charismatic personality. he fits in perfectly!

Thank you! That helps! I guess I just never paid attention to anyone else b/c I've seen them everytime they come to Hampton Roads for four years now and never noticed. Wow, I feel so, umm...., ignorant!
