Horrible news here, guys. Stephens youngest daughter Maria was accidentally killed earlier today when one of his sons (which one was not disclosed) accidentally ran over her while backing a family vehicle down their driveway.

Here's the whole story - keep 'em in prayer.

This is a devastating story. Steven Curtis Chapman's adopted 5-year old Chinese daughter was accidentally struck and killed this week by Steven's 17 year-old son while driving his car. Although I have never met Steven, we actually have something in common. His adoption journey was documented on the Hallmark Channel's series "Adoption" the same year my adoption journey was featured on the same show. Steven wrote a song about the adoption of his Daughter, "When Love Takes You In". It's a beautiful song about how adopted children are born in their parents' hearts. Please keep Steven and his family in your prayers!

Yes, it is tragic, and it's heartbreaking. We already have two threads about this, if you want to see what others have said. The one in the Prayer and Praise section is for prayer, and those who want to discuss it in more detail, provide links, etc. can do so in the thread in the Zone.

I can't even imagine what they're going through. My heart goes out to them, especially their son. May God protect him & comfort him & give him peace.

What a heart warming story about your adoption journey & Steven's song.

I moved it to the Prayer/Praise forum then decided to move it back, since we have quite a few people here who only visit this forum. It doesn't hurt to request prayer everywhere.

Both threads were properly placed the first time. Sometimes, the problem I have with the P&P forum is that people post a request for prayer, and they get a lot of unsolicited advice. In this case, I could see this topic turn into a lot of discussion. So I started the prayer one, and Mary (Butterbean) started a discussion one in the Zone.

I was talking about this thread. I never said the other two weren't properly placed, but thanks for the help.
