I'm 35, but I still look like I'm 25. But more and more, I'm finding grey hair. Its bringing me down. A few years ago, I had started losing my hair 'cause of stress. And now, grey hair...
*sigh* Why why why.

You can always color your hair if it really bugs you. Or go bald... nobody can tell then!

Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grey hairs are the worst ever i can't stand them , but i have read that if you eat foods rich in vitamin b and copper and paba, and avoid stress and relax and you can prevent them and even yoghurt is good to stop them too. I have more of my natural brown colour than those little horrors . Hair colorants here in new zealand we have some cases of people developing allergic reactions to hair dyes including natural ones. these reactions can range from blisters to burning and itching and it is alarming.

By the way, stress doesn't do this -- but you can still blame genetics, though.

Stress can cause hair loss. I was in a very stressful relationship when I was a senior in high school and that summer lost 20 pounds in a matter of weeks and my hair started falling out. Now whether the hair loss was from the dramatic weight loss, I'm not sure, but neither would have happened if the stress wasn't there.
I'm about to hit 40 and the gray hairs have been showing up bit by bit. I highlight my hair to cover it. I'm sure I'll keep doing that for a while. My husband has premature graying that is genetic. He is 43 and has had a full head of gray hair for a while now. It bothers him a lot more than it bothers me. In fact, it doesn't bother me at all. I think he looks good with it.

Thanks for the reminder. I have to see my colorist every 6 weeks. This Sat is my week. I just called, and she's at her brother's state HS baseball tourney. They tell me if he loses, she'll be in on Sat. Is it selfish of me to want him to lose??? I mean, that's a whole other week I'm going to be walking around with grey roots!!!! (Just kidding, I hope the kid's team wins until they have to play MY team!)

Malnutrition, sickness -- yes... stress -- well, I've seen lots of people with immensely stressful lives with full heads of hair, and balding people who have very easy lives. I'm not sold on the supposed "fact" that stress causes hair loss. I still think genetics is the culprit. I'm probably doomed to gray early, but I doubt I will lose to much hair for a while. That's because both my parents started going gray around 35, but hair loss wasn't a problem for either of them.
But, hey -- I've been wrong before... ;)

Yeah, it would be hard to pinpoint stress as the culprit seeing as everybody handles stress differently and our bodies deal with it as such. Heck, I handle different kinds of stress differently. If my stress is coming from a hectic schedule, I'll find in my down time that I'm a couch zombie eating comfort foods. But if it's emotional stress, I can't eat.

I used to have really thick hair that's thinned out to what hairdressers call fine. I lose good amounts every now and then due to a health issue (thyroid disease) and the hair that is growing back is coming in gray in most of the areas that it's thinned out. Actually - the hairs are completely white - and there is a difference. This started a couple of years ago when I was 32.
I've always had highlights that hide it. Not sure what I'll do when it gets real noticable.
Of course, it's really noticable to me right now.

It's not old on guys; it's distinguished. For girls, it's not the same, for some reason. A lot of guys grey young. I think it's far worse when a guy colors his hair. You can tell; and it just ain't right.
A secure guy at any age is attractive...grey doesn't matter. (because I said so ;) )

Well, that's a different story. Go green if you like. I think the worst is when a guy is over 40 with solid brown or black hair that's obviously been colored. It makes them look older & desperate rather than younger. I guess I see that more often here in LA:P .

Dude, I just turned 24 a week ago sat, and I have grey hair and Im losing mine also. Its just how things go. Dont look at it as anything bad and dont let it get you down. I just let what happens happen. God made me and the things that go on with the body, well, I dont know if God makes them happen or what, but He made you and He doesnt make mistakes

...I'm not over 40, I'm 35. And I haven't decided what I'm gonna do with my hair just yet. To dye it, or cut it all off. Maybe Christ will come back before all my hair goes grey, and in heaven... I'll have a new body. A new creration, with a full head of hair.

I have been working the late shift so I will be unable to go to sleep to dream for a few hours. My brain is still active from 'fighting crime'. It is 00:40 - I should have closed my windows before going on over to the Third Day boards for my fix of loons, gomer-wisdom and strange comments.

I had a gray hair at about the age of 15. Haven't seen one since.
I've always had really thick hair, but it has thinned out some in recent years. I lose hair like nobody's business. Hopefully it'll keep growing at it's current rapid pace to replace it. :)

I've been coloring my hair for so long, I don't even know what my real color is anymore! But I just know there are grays in there. Why do you think I keep coloring my hair??? I'm going to be the old coot at 85 still running around as a blond! ewww..........I just got a mental picture of that. NOT pretty!
But I say, go for it! If ya wanna dye, then dye. It can always grow back.

We do get called 'Native American' here in Canada. I wouldn't be offended by being called that. But we get called a lot of things - Native Americans, Indians, Abroiginals, First Nations, and so forth. I perfer Native... :)

What tribe are you from? Do you guys go by tribes over there?
In Thailand we have heaps of tribal people, mainly hilltribe people - Lahu, Akha, Lisu and so on...
In NZ we have many - and people are pretty proud of their tribal background - I like to say I'm from the tribe of the Lion of Judah! :) :)
I think men look very handsome with grey hair, especially when it's just beginning and around the edges of their faces... :)

Cool, I guess that means you come from a long line of great hunters - I'm going to look it up on the internet.
I read an exciting book about a young guy who was half indian and half western and went to live with his tribe and experienced the hunt of a whale - the tension within him was huge but it was a wonderful story - included God lots as well as the caring attitude towards the animal they were chasing and killing...

I am gonna give my opinion here Rog.... ;)
With you being a guy, I would have them match the color with you eyebrows.
For some reason when women color their hair it looks fine when there is blonde hair and dark eyebrows, but on a man it looks out of sorts.
Just my opinion though. :P
I would love to color my hair, but am allergic to hair dye...so I am slowing going gray.

You mean thin. Fine is a texture. ;)
My hubby's bald, been that way for years. My hair is graying pretty rapidly these days and he said to me recently, "Why did you stop coloring your hair? Your grays make you look much older than you are."
Edit: I love my bald, sexy man (I think that bald men are sexy) and I started coloring my hair again. In fact, I just got it done again last night. It's strawberry-blonde. Makes me look about 10 years younger.

Men look handsome with grey hair - it's kinda stink really, men get better and better looking as they get older - well forties and fifties definitely if they don't get too rotound - but women think they have to keep looking young... I grew out my blonde hair a few years ago and now have wonderful natural highlights of beautifull silver in my hair - I think I even look younger withouth the fake blonde - who says we can't have grey hair????? Who says men can't be bald???? Who says we have to have tiny bodies and perfect teeth???? That's what I'd like to know??? :) :) :)

I'm still not down with the grey hair thing. 1 year after posting this, I still dye my hair. Its a colour close to my real colour, and I'm happy with it. Some people from my Church didn't even notice I dye my hair. So, until I go bald...I'm gonna continue to dye my hair colour.
