I had to work one New Year's eve. I also had to work Christmas Eve that same year. Almost had to work Christmas night but I conveniently got really sick at work on Christmas morning and told my manager she was outta luck. Had a fever of like 104 all day and was totally miserable. Double grr. I'm drinking my airborn like a good girl. It's ubernasty, but it works. One difference: If you already have a cold, double the dose. Cold is gone in 3 days, maybe less if you catch it early enough. My stomach is good. I got brave and ate a slice of pizza tonight, no problem.

I worked a public health screening yeswterday morning, subbed at a dr's office Monday. Hate working at dr's offices, all you do is talk on the phone. Made an agreement with a church bookstore to sell my rosaries on consignment. That's about it.

Sounds cool. when we were in nashville we lived in michael's. i use to cross stitch and my mom made beautiful seasonal baskets. i couldn't keep any of her baskets after she died. wish i had them.

B/c of my mom's physical challenges, I get all these catalogs with adaptive devices in them. All kinds of cool helpful stuff. I've been thinking about this since that bad spell when you said you hadn't had any coffee cos you couldn't lift the mug. Yikes! No coffee when you obviously need it the most? Sucketh badly.

Yup, but it doesn't always work. My pipes are very old and they sag. And my house is on a pillar foundation rather than a slab, so the pipes are exposed. I wrapped towels around the vulnerable spots, and put a heavy blanket over one place where there's a gap in the flashing. Hung a trouble light under the farm sink at the back of the house and threw a tarp over it. That move has made me a hero with the strays I feed. :D

Took a trunkfull of stuff to Waterfront Rescue Mission, went and rummaged around in Hobby Lobby and came out with two spools of tigertail and several packages of Swarovski crystals, and went to Winn-Dixie for sundry supplies. Came home and ate way too much supper.

This one may be a bit more prolonged than I like (as in I may not be able to hold my breath that long). No HazMat, but I may put on gloves. A mask. Goggles. Isolation gown. Shoe covers.
