No afternoon storm today, but bad weather should be returning just in time for the 4th. Maybe that will keep the trailer park people from coming out in the yard and shooting off their guns in the air. Doubt it.

Hahahaha its one of those things huh?

When I was in high school, my BFF's mom and my mom had an "arranged marriage" for the two of us. I'm like...."we don't like each other that way!"

It got to be pretty annoying. Especially when some church friends saw us holding hands at the Acquire the Fire convention. We were praying people!

I can relate to that since at church i was sitting at church with a guy that i am friends with and some people thought that we were going out together and got the wrong idea and some people kept questioning him about me and he kept questioning me about our friendship it really drove me nuts since some people don't realize that there is a thing called being just friends and i am still waiting for my future hubbie .

I have a friend who's a girl and everyone seems to think there's something going on there. It's like, uuuummmm...no. Ok, I admit I don't help the situation when I call her on all my breaks and talk to her for like ever, and the fact that I have a picture of her on my phone as my wallpaper probably don't help matters either. And I'm sure the fact that we flirt shamelessly *although playfully because well I'm like that with EVERYONE not just guys or not just girls*....

Ok well I see why people would wonder about us! LOL!

I've had plenty guy friends say "I love you" to me. And Joshy just threw himself on me yesterday. Ok yeah, he was leaving to go overseas, so I'm sure he just wanted a nice big hug. But why don't people mind their own dang business?

There's really no "platform" you just kind of have a fence. Unless this is something I haven't seen, which I probably haven't. I've only been three times and the last time was 8 years ago, so I vaguely remember it. I didn't ever take a donkey down there, we were pressed for time the first couple of times I went, and the third time, my grandmother was there.

We did, however, when I was 11, take the train from Williams. It was rather boring, and I think I slept most of the way up. Then again, I was 11 and had the attention span of a squirrel.

Though I admit, I love Colorado, I'm certain I wouldn't want the fear of avalanches and blizzards.

My first time really experiencing Colorado, outside of a 45 minute layover in the Denver airport, we hit the worst blizzard of the decade. Yeah...

Try bumming some of the stuff they make at the nurses station. That's usually not too bad. Whatever you do, stay away from that stuff that comes from the cafeteria. I'm not sure what they make it with, but I'm fairly sure it's not coffee.

It tastes like burnt cowboy coffee. But, I didn't really taste a whole hell of a lot ya know. I've eaten about 10 bites of food all day.

I'm not exhausted like sleepy, just emotionally and mentally drained. I'm going with my mom to my Nana's tomorrow. She's freaked about going in there alone. She says "her whole life was in that house and now that she's gone, all the life is gone out of it".

Its hard because it wasn't just her life, I spent all but two Christmases there. I lived the first few tender years of my life in that house, and some after that when we moved back while I was in high school, and for a bit it was just me and her there. Christmas will never be the same for me. I'll never dance the cumbias with her again, I'll never tease her about her accent again, we'll never spend a special quiet New Year's Eve together again.

I baked the chocolate strusel and I think her pan was just a little too big but it didn't even heat up the kitchen with central. Easy potato soup for cold nasty days: Fry out three or four slices of bacon in a nice big saucepan or dutch oven. Sautee a large chopped onion in the drippings. Add however many cut up potatoes -- depends on how much soup you want. Cover with water, salt & pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and then simmer till the potatoes fall apart. You won't believe how wonderful it makes the house smell.

Alright-already! Herte I am! Okay, it's an hour round trip to the office. Then I tried to get a burger at Hardee's. Computer down. Who ever knew you needed a computer to make a hamburger? Oh, well...gave up after a half an hour, told them thanks but no thanks, went home and nuked leftovers. Then fed the cats, then fielded a question from Peter's new night nurse -- How do I make the vent alarm go off? (She's supposed to be vent certified) then went out on the front porch to watch the action over at the trailer park next door (cops are back, happens about once a week. Good entertainment, don't have cable, you know), took a call from the office -- did you work Thursday night? YES!! I work every stinkin thursday night. Am I working tonight? YES!! I work every stinkin Sunday night. Okeydoke, thanks Miss Beth. It's just not on the computer. I work with uber-idiots. Do guided imagery to bring down heart rate from the combined stress of both phone calls, nuke a cup of coffee, go pee, get on computer, convince computer I am indeed online, so here I am. Right back. Sort of.
