MOST people DON'T pay to park here as there is on street parking and most 2-3 flats have a 2-3 car garage in back (we always had a garage or on street parking). Live in the downtown, Lincoln Park or Wrigley Field area and it's insane. Bad by me because of high rises too old to have thought of parking garages. Then there's $75 a year for a city sticker (maybe more by now), license plates etc. Even if I COULD drive, I couldn't afford a car.

The two grey kitties who's names I do not know are feral and just got to trusting me. I was able to pick up and cuddle both of them today! One likes me so much that he protested greatly when I put him down by screaming and climbing up my pant leg.

Breathing is a plus as is a reduced heart rate. I don't sweat which is part of the problem as well. Last night I was able to turn off ac and open window. I feel like I'm in prison when the ac is on for days because you can't hear anything outside. Cold front coming in - temps drop next week.

Chicken! My sister did. I think she boiled just enough to get the tea bags going and then refrigerated a jug with cold water.

Yeah, I do that. Make a tea syrup and keep it in the fridge and make the tea from that by the glass. I'm out, and it's too hot to be lighting a gas flame in here. So let the heat make me a gallon of tea. Mmm, 's good.

Lake Michigan water is good in the city unless you live in an ancient building with ancient pipes like mine. The water tastes fine with the Brita and the water isn't orange if you leave it like out of the tap.

It was fairly quiet here. Living on a street with mostly businesses cuts down on a lot of firecrackers. Still, some idiot put one in a bottle - you could hear the glass exploding. It was cold and rainy during the 4th so a lot of bbq's were postponed until today.
