Went to the train museum today for Tucson's first Train Day. Have pics, will post.COOL! My dad was once an engineer on the old steam trains until a tragic accident caused him to give that up. He
remained a train enthusiast though. I grew up with model trains. At first the large Lionel ones and in his later years the smaller Tyco. Look forward to seeing what you have out there.

My dad was in his hometown of Bismarck engineering. The train wreck is why he headed to anywhere he could and he landed here. He once also drove a Greyhound and I am the proud owner of his Greyhound pin.

I have some of the oddest memories connected to trains. The first time I saw jello was on a train to see my grandparents in New Jersey. It was in a little silver dish, and half of it was red and half of it was green. I couldn't take my eyes off of it.

That sounds about as bad as having to go Memphis to Nashville. The worst trip was here to Athens,Tn. on a Greyhound. 24 hours with bus changes in Indianapolis and I think it was Louisville. That was to go to my sis from here. And that was long before fibro and arthritis.

I was at all the major stadiums here for soccer. One indoor game at the old Chicago Stadium was so loud in o.t. that our ears were ringing after the game.

Part of me thinks it'd be fun to be down there for one. I don't know how I'd live with the threat every year though. I remember watching out for remnants when I was in Nashville because of flooding and tornadoes. It wasn't a good feeling. We weren't as prepped as you. We did more of that kind of thing because of ice storms.

Not fun, trust me. Very scary. Then there's the hellish weeks afterward when it's hot as hades and there's no power. No gas, no groceries, and several hours out of every day must be spent in line to get the day's water, ice and MRE's from the national guard. And the whole world smells bad.

When I was little my parents took me to see, "Sound.." more than once because I loved it so much. Then I saw it on tv time and time again and I o.d'd on it. I can't even listen to the first line of, 'the hills are alive'. Also was a BIG Mary Poppins freak. Had a doll, pillow, even a dress. Don't see that one on tv much so it's still a hit with me. I hope someday,"Sound.." will be watchable for me again. I can't handle, 'the Wizard of Oz' any longer either for that reason.

He was not expected to live anywhere near this long, but seemed to be thriving. It looks like he caught a cold from his brother, and it progressed to septic pneumonia. His lungs filled with fluid, and he just couldn't hang on. So really, it wasn't his syndrome that killed him after all. I went in to the office to pick up a package of nurses notes, and our clinical director told me. I just sat in her office and squalled. Some better now. I need to stop falling in love with them, but I swear I don't know how.

I went in to the office to pick up a package of nurses notes, and our clinical director told me. I just sat in her office and squalled. Some better now. I need to stop falling in love with them, but I swear I don't know how.
Well that just seemed to make all my stupid little problems vanish. I am sorry to hear that, Beth. Send our best to his parents. I'm pretty sure I speak for all of us here when I say we all felt like we knew the little guy and we loved him!

Good to hear you're doing ok. You aren't alone. Before she died my niece was a nurse in Phoenix and she would call my sis in tears because a patient didn't make it. When my dad was at the end, one of his nurses actually had to go home because she was crying. People like you make it better for the sick. If I ever need a nurse again, I hope she isn't clinically detached, I hope I have one that cares.

Therapy seems to be helping. Though sometimes it feels like they're trying to break me in half. Chiro has dismissed me unless I need him.

If it works, it'll be worth it. At least you don't need the chiro as well. I have to go to my dr. tomorrow so I won't be here til evening. I guess he'll let me know if he's sending me back to the cardiologist.

I don't have neuropathy, but some symptoms are awful similar in many ways. I've heard the needles don't hurt. My neck and shoulders are really killing me and at this point I'd be willing to have needles.

No, they don't. They're little bitty fine things, you barely feel them. I think it'd be worth checking out. Most insurances cover it, mine does.

Don't know if Medicare/Medicaid covers but if it'd help, I'd be willing to pay for it. I have to use the money I received by Oct. so I do have some I could use for this. I can also look and see if any of them take M/M. Little needles I can prolly handle. I watch them stick needles in me for blood work and i.v.'s.

I need to go, it's about exercise time. Next week I reduce to once a week therapy, and the hydrotherapy will change to Aquacise twice a week. That's challenging stuff, I never knew you could break a sweat in the water...

A very full on day today for me especially this morning had to take Charlie and Basil to the vets for their Check ups and immusations all well and healthy and charlie was given a fantastic health report and the vet said for eight years old charlie looks like a cat half his age so cool

My doctor's appointment was a flu jab on tuesday and there was this really cute boy toddler there who had a jab after me and he cried and cried so the nurse who is also a friend of my gave him a lollypop and when i saw the lolly pop i thought where is my lollypop
