Remembering Mom
You were the first person to care.
You were the one who taught me to share.
You taught me that love was the foundation of all.
You picked me up every time I did fall.
You sacrificed and gave of yourself so much.
Not just to your family, other lives you did touch.
To me, a hero you are and will also be.
Without your molding, I couldn't be me.
I think many Moms have the spark of Divine.
I know it certainly was true of mine.
You carried me into the world that I see.
For you, it always ok to be me.
The me that I am is because of you.
Your love shaped me, that much is true.
I'll carry your love always in my heart.
It takes more than death to bring us apart.
You'll be part of me until I finish that race,
and we'll be reunited in that heavenly place!
