I seeking to establish a set of rules for studying and verifying Evidence of Time Travel.

This study is not about 'How time travel works' nor 'When was a time machine invented'.
It is not asking for opinions whether time travel is possible or not, but simply…
Is there any evidence documented in ancient texts that relate to visits to the past ?

PURPOSE and AIMS
- To seek out and identify any evidence of Time Travel that may be documented in ancient texts.
- Create a set of rules for this task.
- Scrutinize and examine past information and any new evidence found - using an organized peer process of evaluation.
- Make a Judgement based upon the evidence presented, then state a Conclusion.

METHOD
I am seeking a ‘Submission of Ideas’ regarding how to go about gathering information and then evaluating it.
STEP 1 . Develop a Search Criterion
STEP 2 . Gather Evidence
STEP 3 . Examine and Evaluate evidence
STEP 4 . Form a Judgement and Conclusion

I am hoping people will be able to contribute to my project with ideas or comments.

Well, in my honest opinion, you will not find any such evidence as time travel does not exist.

Sure it does, in fact I travelled a few seconds ahead in time reading your post.

You will not find evidence of time travel in the scripture's. Nor will you find anyone willing to support your study on these boards. And if there does exist any 'evidence' in other ancient texts than it is a lie. I suggest you ask yourself the question: "Is this a good investment of time and effort?" "Does it honour God?" I think not.

The SG1 team did it, something to do with going through the gate at the same time as a solar flare...

Yes, it sent them back to 1969. Groovy man.

EXPERIMENTS will soon be conducted to TEST Ronald Pegg’s theory regarding ‘Evidence of Time Travel being documented in Ancient Texts’.

Australia? Aussie...is he one of your surfer buddies?

Eddy, these folks here are too closeminded for anythng like what you're talking...

Show us some serious texts and/or evidence and we'll dance with it....I'm open to it.

Hmmm...If I could just go back to 911...

Surfing buddies? He's from Soth Australia and I'm from Sydney, E. And I have never been surfing in my life. Not that it wouldn't be cool to try.

RE: "Show us some serious texts and/or evidence and we'll dance with it....I'm open to it."

I will start with Pegg’s first observation by presenting what he saw.

I will then use his general theory of…

“The documented accounts in certain ancient texts from or known as prophetic "dreams" or "visions" are about the contents of the 1995 produced Ancient Civilizations of the Mediterranean multi-media cd-rom”

…to reality check each of the selected texts (including those previously studied) - ie. conduct experiments.

Texts include:
Genesis 28:12 OT
Ezekiel OT
Daniel OT
Revelation NT
Muslim Qur'an
Akkadian, Babylonian, Mesopotamian, and Egyptian
Atlantis Legend - Plato
Old Testament Creation Account by Moses - Genesis Chapter 1
Accounts by Endubsar - Sumerian Clay Tablets

The Experiment: Theory Evaluation
The logical foundation of scientific method is the REALITY CHECK. By observing reality and using logic, scientists can decide whether a theory about "the way it is" corresponds with "the way it really is."

In a reality check, scientists compare OBSERVATIONS with THEORY-based PREDICTIONS.
If a theory fails in reality checks because its predictions do not match observations, scientists can reject the theory.

This means that when we test Pegg's theory, if there are no observed matches of pictures in the cd-rom to the descriptions in the cited ancient texts, then his theory can be rejected.

One cannot use the scientific method in such interpretations. Any scientist worth his/her weight would never interpret symbols on a CD-ROM based on, say, Hebrew poetry. I could find matches in my Age of Empire II game CD and Biblical stories (I've tried it!).

The opening video is a great depiction of Genesis 1, with the earth, sun, moon and stars. There is just too much in this video to even begin to describe how similar the events are to the Genesis creaion account. First the darkness (dark screen) then the appearance of light (God's first created thing), then the creation events in the same sequence as the Hebrew in Genesis 1:1-.

In the next video there is the meeting of the two kings, who are battling, an obvious reference to King David and King Saul.

Then there is the main game play screen. In the center is a small picture of the world. This is obviously a reference to this prophecy:

"At one time the whole world spoke a single language and used the same words." Genesis 11:1

Then there are these astonishing connections:

"...2 As the people migrated eastward, they found a plain in the land of Babylonia and settled there. 3 They began to talk about construction projects. “Come,” they said, “let's make great piles of burnt brick and collect natural asphalt to use as mortar. 4 Let's build a great city with a tower that reaches to the skies—a monument to our greatness! This will bring us together and keep us from scattering all over the world.”

Due east of the world map (from those in the world's perspective -- west to the viewer's perspective) is the "History" icon. If you click on this icon and scroll down, there are pictures of huge towers and castle under "castles". Some of these are very grand, and are cities with "a tower that reaches the skies".

Also in the history is pictures of people doing various construction projects -- exactly what the Genesis account speaks of in detail. But there is much more:

"In the fifth year of King Rehoboam's reign, King Shishak of Egypt came up and attacked Jerusalem. He ransacked the Temple of the LORD and the royal palace and stole everything, including all the gold shields Solomon had made."

"King Solomon made two hundred large shields of hammered gold, each containing over fifteen pounds of gold. He also made three hundred smaller shields of hammered gold, each containing nearly four pounds of gold. The king placed these shields in the Palace of the Forest of Lebanon."

If you look at the opening screen there is a large gold shield in the upper right, just above the world map in the center. Then there is a smaller shield just beneath it. These shields are superimposed over a background that looks like a large structure reminiscent of a palace. There are armor and weapons, and it is obvious that Solomon must have played Age of Empires II (or at least watched a time traveler play it) to get these ideas.

Real scientists will find actual correlations with these predictions. If these objects aren't on the screen, then the theory can be disregarded. But if these real scientists DO find these objects (the Genesis scene in the opening movie, the confrontation of David and Saul, the World Map and the travelers going east to build the tower of Babylon, etc.) than it must be true that patriarchs like Solomon, David, and Moses have all played Age of Empires II or at least watched time travelers play the game.

Rock ;)

Please be advised that 8 preliminary results are now available for viewing.

The Study Criterion was completed and initial examination of selected texts undertaken.

Pegg's 'Descriptive' TheoryThe documented accounts in certain ancient texts known as prophetic "dreams" or "visions" are about the contents of the 1995 produced Ancient Civilizations of the Mediterranean multi-media cd-rom.
To test Pegg's theory we need to conduct a REALITY-CHECK to see if it is true for all, many, some, or no ancient texts.

To do this we need to use 'If-Then' logic, and PREDICT what will happen when Pegg's theory is applied to other ancient texts. We then need to conduct EXPERIMENTS and OBSERVE what happens.

If-Then Prediction
In relation to the cited texts, IF the theory is correct, THEN we will observe that pictures from the Ancients cd-rom match to the descriptions in the cited ancient texts.

If Pegg's theory fails our reality check because its predictions do not match observations, then it can be rejected as false.

You now have the opportunity to examine 8 sets of observations to decide for yourself whether Pegg’s theory has merit or not.

PPHC-SG presents a new report regarding the Old Testament Book of Ezekiel chapters 1-4, 8, 9, 40, & 41.

From 8 Chapters (involving 104 verses), 198 descriptions by Ezekiel have been found to match the imagery from the Ancients cd-rom.

Three more major reports will be made available from mid June 2008:
- Egyptian texts, hieroglyphs, and stories about their Gods.
- Plato's Critias and Timaeus dialogues: The legend of Atlantis.
- Sumerian Clay Tablet stories by the scribe Endubsar.
