I saw them at Rock The Light last year. I thought they were great. The teenage girls in front of me had a great time taking pictures of them. I thought they had a British sound. I am talking kind of retro. They could really rock also. Just nice all around...............:)

They will be performing at our church tomorrow:

September 10th
7:30PM
After Edmund from LaGrange, GA Live in Concert with opening act the Steels from the UK.

Introducing band After Edmund is a great band that is produced by Third Day's keyboardist Scotty Wilbanks: a five piece band that creates a distinctive but accessible sound by blending and fusing the various backgrounds and experiences of its band members. While influences from alternative, modern and indie rock are easily recognizable, the band also recognizes and embraces their classical, jazz, progressive and classic rock influences to fashion intelligent, worshipful and thought provoking music.

From the blazingly fast, guitar and percussion driven opener " Thank God " through to the breathy, acoustic closer " To See You Leave, " Hello moves the listener through an emotional sonic soundscape. Producer Scotty Wilbanks (Third Day, Echoing Angels, DecembeRadio) ably facilitates the melding of the five band members' musical talents and abilities in such a way that each instrument is apparent without one dominating or subduing the other. The vocals of Hello are fantastic, with Mitch Parks showing the ability to deliver smart, emotion-laced lyrics positioned in a variety of musical tempos.

It is easy to see that After Edmund regards music as an art form to be intelligently crafted and entertainingly presented to the listener. Hello is a musical gem that enthusiastically greets the listener, holds their attention, and avoids accosting the listener with the predictable. Fans of mould-breaking musicians alá Mute Math, Police, Wilderness of Tekoa, Pink Floyd, Hundred Year Storm and Red Umbrella should enthusiastically welcome this band into their musical libraries without hesitation.

Pink Floyd? Mutemath? and the Police? Are they listening to the same band I just listened to? They sound nothing like those bands.

I'm not saying that this band isn't any good, but they don't sound like those three bands.

I took it to mean that they were similiar in branching out (or breaking the mould as the article said) rather than sounding like those bands (since it goes on to say they avoid accosting the listener with the predictable).

I wasn't disagreeing with you (just the cut and paste press release in your post).

A lot of bands 'branch out', I'm not sure why they're choosing to name those bands in the press release. But anywho, I'm going to give them another listen...

No offense taken. I really haven't heard much of their music, so posted the press release as information on the band. I'll let you know what I think after the concert tonight.

I like "Clouds" & "Like a Dream." I hadn't heard them before. I know they are touring with Building 429 & Addison Road (I love their song "Hope Now.") Tickets are cheap too, only $10. Should be a pretty good show!
