That just made me literally do a belly laugh. My big sis and older cousins started a fire in the woods, AT MY COUSIN'S HOUSE, when they were kids (smoking underage). I can laugh cause it was fairly harmless and caused no injury. They still deny it to this day.

TULIP is an abbreviation for the five points of Calvinism.
Total Depravity
Unconditional Election
Limited Atonement
Irresistable Grace
Perseverance of the Saints
thats very unique I wish I thought of it but than again I am not a full blown Calvinist so.........
And you Jason you also have a unique board name why???????? because ur unique and therefore so is your name(all in a good way of course;) :D )

Everytime you mention Stack-o-Lee, it reminds me of the time they sang Stagger Lee on the Sonny & Cher show in about 1972. Stagger Lee is a nice roll model there, Tulip.
By the way, I found this funny. "Lloyd Price also recorded another version of the song in 1958 at the request of Dick Clark, who felt the original lyrics were not appropriate for his American Bandstand audience. The subject was changed from gambling to fighting over a woman, and instead of a murder, the two yelled at each other, and made up the next day."

This is the version I'm familiar with.
From Wikipedia: "A 1959 variation, credited as "traditional", as originally recorded and performed by Lloyd Price, goes:
(intro) The night was clear, and the moon was yellow
And the leaves came tumblin' down. . .
I was standing on a corner
When I heard my bull dog bark
He was barking at the two men
Who were gambling in the dark
It was Stagger Lee and Billy
Two men who gambled late
Stagger Lee threw a seven
Billy swore that he threw eight
Stagger Lee told Billy
"I can't let you go with that
You won all o' my money
And my brand new Stetson hat."
Stagger Lee started off goin'
Down that railroad track
He said "I can't get you Billy but
Don't be here when I come back"
(bridge)
Stagger Lee, he went home
And he got his forty-four
Said "I'm going down to the barroom
Just to pay that debt I owe"
Stagger Lee went to the barroom
And he stood across the barroom door
He said "Nobody move"
And he pulled his forty-four
Then Billy he cried "Stag, oh Stag,
Please don't take my life
I got three little children
And a very sickly wife"
Stagger Lee... shot Billy
Oh, he shot that poor boy so bad
Till the bullet came through Billy
And it broke the bartender's glass. "
There's a chorus that isn't on there that says "Go go, Stagger Lee. Go go, Stagger Lee." and on. The actual story of what happened is interesting. It's on Wikipedia. The interesting part is that such a small story is still in our collective memory. And that it explains where the slang word "Mack" came from.

there are about 30, maybe more, different versions of this story in song. Samuel L. Jackson sings it in Black Snake Moan.
its amazing how one random act of violence has been immortalized.

Hmm...I have been working on them. I've got a prototype for a piercing bandwidth detector that I plan on selling to ACME once it's finished. That Roadrunner's been after me for the plans.

Heh, heh...Nice. We must give full disclosure to the male applicants, though. We wouldn't want to torture them as well, would we? Well, I guess it depends on who they are.
