I have a question: Is the pre-order not available through WIRED? I appreciate being able to have the audio stream and the $9.99 price is great, but that is with a $30 order of new merchandise. Do we not get the 20% WIRED discount on the new stuff?

It looks like the answer is no. The link from wired to the store does not include the pre-order stuff. Wired is looking less and less attractive to me every day.

Yea! Ordered mine - ordered me and hubby a shirt - got 2 cds (cause I'm not sharing!) and am soooo STOKED!

Was contemplating spacing out the order and expense a bit, and getting just the CD now for the stream and the bonus song, and getting the t shirt later with the Wired discount (I'm thinking the preorder combos, since they're already discounting the price of the CD, will probably NOT show up in the Wired discount area, at least not until the presale is over. But that's just a guess), but then figured that paying double shipping would all but eat up any Wired discount I could get later.

I just paid the 12.99 for the CD and passed on the merch. I was really confused on the shirt sizes for the girl shirts. The black rhinestone has seven size choices and none of them make sense to me. Plus, I'm severely peeved at Music Today and refuse to give them any of my "extra" business over and above the basics. I am also hoping at some point we can use our wired discount for that merch if I do resolve my MT issues (yeah, right--who am I kidding?).

That's what I'm thinking. If I buy just the CD now, $12.99 is not out of line for a CD, even without a Wired discount, and to me it's worth the difference to get the stream and the extra song.

Not sure if I want to cough up $45 at the moment for the tee/CD combo pack just to save $3 on the CD, then be able to buy the same tee later at 20% off. But then, if my math is right, the savings is only something like $4 once you factor in the full price CD, and you just KNOW shipping out two separate orders will cost more than that.

It's like a really bad word problem. "And which way was the smoke from the steam train blowing if the wind is blowing east at 30mph and the train is going west at 70mph?" :P

Yeah, I think if you buy at the merch table at a show, you probably come out the same, saving on the shipping, as with your wired online order. The pro/con column in my head for wired is a little lopsided right now.

If you go to the 3D store through WIRED, the discount is already shown. For example, the "Keep On Shining" women's tee is $25, but $20 through WIRED which is the 20% discount. I didn't see any indication on the pre-order link that we get the WIRED discount.

depends on how bad u want to hear the album...we ended up giving 10 bucks for shipping to get it 2-4 business days after it comes out but u get to listen to it for over 2 months before it comes out so depends on how bad u want it.

Revelation is terrific. I am sorry those outside the US are having troubles ordering. I wonder if it is possible to just order the cd and not ship it! That way you have the stream nearly 3 months prior to release date. That's about $4 of greatness per month or pennies a day.

I just checked shipping and the cost is $6.40 if you are willing to wait 3-10 days after release which would be worth it to have the audio stream. Maybe we can find someone who would be willing to ship it to you. I imagine most of the stores will have it on sale 7/29.

That's what I say! I think they are already selling the black rhinestone shirt at the shows. Not sure about the others. I'll buy at the table. I think the discount from wired is pretty much the same as the shipping cost.

I wasn't too crazy about any of the t-shirts. The one that I sort of did like was only 25 bucks. That would have left me having to find something else to buy for at least 5 bucks to get the CD for 9.99. So, I just got the CD by itself. 12.99 + 6.40 shipping. Almost 20 bucks but worth it to get the stream 2 months early plus the download of "Shake".

Just preordered and got my confirmation email. I'm in the middle of uploading a bunch of files (another 4.3 hours to go), and don't want them to get tangled up with the stream so will listen tomorrow morning, I guess.

After sitting down and doing the math, I held off on getting a t-shirt for now. It costs just a smidge ($2.60) less to get the shirt/CD combo now than to get the CD now at full price and get the tshirt at the Wired 20% off later. But since I couldn't make up my mind between two of the shirts, and didn't want to hold up the preorder stream until I made up my mind, I figured I'd pick up the shirt at some other time and who knows, maybe catch it on sale or at the show in September or something. And I'm with Wendy, the less money I give to Music Today at this point, the happier I am anyway.

Finally got the CD ordered, anyway, so that's done. :)

Yup. That's what I did too. About blew a gasket when I saw the total with the shipping, but it could be worse, we could be Ems and have it cost $27 for the CD after tacking on THEIR shipping charges!
