I am sooooo bad. I'm enjoying an iced caramel coffee. I had caramel ice cream topping that I added along with milk to my coffee, then put the thing on ice. Sooooo tasty! mmmmmmm! First coffee I've drunk in (I think) 3 weeks. See, if you don't have your coffee, you can't remember a thing!!!

BK stinks BUT I have not had but one or two since they added Turbo Joe.
I don't like caramel...
Genna14

Yeah they totally changed up the coffee at BK, its the same Toddy concentrate I drink at home. Worth a try.
I can't believe you don't like caramel! I like it better then chocolate.

The only negative here is that I'm back to Folger's singles as they don't drink coffee. Brought my creamer with this time. It's better than no coffee at all.

Yes. Caramel is MUCH better than chocolate. And its JOSE. White people *shakes head* :P There is a black anchor man on one of our news stations and his name is Hosea and he pronounces it "Jose". Never did understand that one. I vote for chocolate and caramel combined. :)

Found the following in the magazine section of today's paper: "No need to feel guilty anymore about that double-shot Americano that gets you going in the morning. In fact, coffee is looking more and more like a health drink.Among its remarkable benefits, new research shows, coffee may reduct the risk of diabetes, heart attack, gallstones,Parkinson's disease, kidney stones and cirrhosis. One caveat is that black coffee may lead to thinner bones, especially in women, but the simple solution is to add milk to your coffee." (Parade Magazine, July 27, 2008, "Foods To Keep You Healthy (or not)" by Dr. Mark Liponis) Cool, huh?

The underperforming Starbucks stores in OZ are going to close. That's 63 or thereabouts out of over 80 stores, with 600 jobs lost. This was one of the main news stories here yesterday. They must be facing stiff opposition from the independent cafes here, and Gloria Jeans.

I won't miss 'em. They burn their beans. Yeah, my disdain for charyucks is legendary on these here boards. Imo the finest coffee in the known universe can be had at the Grand Casino in Biloxi, MS. Pure Kona, they fresh grind every pot, and make a new pot every 15 minutes. If they closed down the casino and just opened up a coffee shop, I'd still go. After that is the coffee at the Tom Thumb in Stapleton, AL at the intersection of US59 and state 31. No kidding. I never kid about coffee. No. 3 on the list is the Japanese Imperial Steakhouse in Mobile, AL. Great coffee at a sushi place? Strange but true.

General Foods "International" :P
On The Go Vanilla Latte
artificially flavored coffee house drink
1. EMPTY contents into your favorite cup or travel mug.
2. POUR 1 cup (8 fl. oz.) hot water over contents. Be sure to leave room for the foam. For best results, water should be hot, but not boiling. For an even richer and creamier indulgent taste sensation, use milk instead of water.
3. STIR gently until velvety layer of foam appears.
4. PREPARE taste buds for the remarkably rich flavor they're about to experience.
5. IF DESIRED, add cinnamon, nutmeg, chocolate syrup, or whipped cream onto foam.
6. ENJOY your delightully indulgent drink and take pride in knowing that you're better than any old barista.
There are also instructions for iced frappe.
But to get a laugh search Brian Regan's pop tart comedy routine on YouTube. THAT will make you roll as far as food preparation instructions.

No Black Silk here. The darkest they will go is French roast which is what I drank until Beth intro'd me to the 'silk'. Yeah, I have a,c, here so I'm drinking it hot again and don't really need a half cup of creamer in it like I do iced. I think if I go back to the normal amount of usage for hot she'll have some left. Actually I can use the vanilla soy milk I brought for me and then I COULD be assured that she'd have it when I left.

Nope. But it might help with the pain, as caffeine is an ingredient in many painkillers, such as excedrin or goody powders. When I'm down with a migraine a strong cup of black coffee helps me almost as much as narcotic painkillers. The two combined is a surefire remedy.
