Delaying the Masterpiece
The flesh causes a debate.
To reveal the masterpiece,
Or delay the presentation
Of what He is sculpting.
The hand of God reaches
To make known His work,
But the child pulls the sheet
Back to cover their smudge.
Despite the effort to conceal,
The Artist has been aware.
As He gazes upon His beloved,
He speaks.
“My masterpiece, do not hide from me.
I made no mistakes when I made you.”
