I saw Third Day in Poughkeespie, NY. I saw Tai with some new Fenders. I had the pleasure of getting to meet him and talk to him.We both miss his Stingrays. It looked like he was playing either a 75 Reissue Jazz or a Geddy Lee 4 string and his 5 string looked like an American Standard 5 string. His bass cabinet was silver, not black like his old Ampegs. Can anyone shed some light on exactly what basses and gear he's been using?? They sound great.

He was definately playing a Geddy Lee reissue in Cedarville on Sunday night. I was right in front of him, and I saw the Geddy lee sig on the headstock. He switched out the white pick guard and added the diamond plate. That is a sharp bass. I don't know what kind of cabs he was using. He had a box with 5-6 pedals on it right in front of him, but I'm too blind to see what effects he was using.

He uses medium dunlop picks, I know for a fact; I caught two of them.

Awesome!!! I know he used to use a Bass POD a long time ago. The Geddy Lee with the diamond pickguard is a very sharp bass.

I'd love to know what he uses to get that sound.

I saw he had a pedalboard in Poughkeepsie, but I don't recall seeeing a POD or SansAmp. And there was a silver 6x10?? cab but no head visible.

Was semi-watching the Live Wire DVD and he does have a rack off to the side but didn't get a clear shot of it on the dvd... At one point it seems Tai is/was using Ampeg bass amps... but i haven't found anything other than that.

I also know he has a 60's anniversery special fender jazz bass. There sweet bass's.
I have never really knew what amp he used. I know ampeg is far the nice;s cabinets/heads i have ever played on. It's got killer tone.
