When the guys perform at the youth rally that the pope is presiding over....I was thinking wouldn't it be cool if they were able give him a gift? (Bono famously gave the last pope his shades.... :cool: )

What do you think the guys should give this pope?

Now back to the original thought of what to give the Pope. Since Bono gave another Pope some glasses, I would suggest that maybe Mac give him his original "Eagle" shirt and a bright orange robe.

ok guys without the risk of hijacking this thread maybe this is a topic for the word forum

And by the way I am not playing the victim here but you know, I used to get shot down all the time for my oneness beliefs which some of you deem heresy. You guys said something about it some sarcastic some not so sarcastic. You believe my oneness doctrine heresy I believe Catholicism whoredom religion. Im sry but since when cant I share my beliefs and opinions on things. Yes I was a little sarcastic when I made that earlier post and for that Im am sorry( and by the way I think it was the smiley faces that made it look and sound sarcastic. And really it was kinda sarcastic but again I am deeply sorry but as you know I am not politically correct. So its really hard to write my posts and the like in that manner. So again I am sorry for my post

I admit however this is for the word forum that was ignorance on my part.

My issue is however that I have seen some pretty shall we say sarcastic posts regarding my beliefs when I used to share them(I know that it does not give me the right to be sarcastic back). but still I mean cmon....................a s soon as I say something BOOM I get blamed for being rude.

Yeah this was for the word forum and I am sorry. And my post may sound like Im mad but Im not.....so carry on with the regular conversation. And by the way I was being serious about giving him the Bible. I'd stand right in that mans face and call him a devil amd Im serious about this I am not being sarcastic. I am tolerant of your beliefs I am tolerent of every belief. Which means I am not chasing you down and killing you because of them them or trying to force you into my beliefs when you just dont see things the way I do you. I tell you what intolerence is intolerence is the crusades against the muslims intolerence is when you have Muslims that hate America because we have freedoms and because they perceive us as being a "christian" nation and not an Islamic one. In other words they kill those who dont line up with their system of beliefs. Thats intolerence my friend.

I'd hardly call a little post on a message board about religion intolerence. Yeah I dont agree with you and again I stated my beliefs in a sarcastic way. i dont have to agree with you to be considered tolerent

I got kinda flustered myself and I am sorry. I think this post was very good. My aunt is Catholic and even though we have some major doctrine differences I do try and find the least little bit of common ground with her.

This is not a put down in anyway but when I said the least little bit thats what I meant I agree ALMOST with nothing of the Catholic faith simply because I do not agree with the worship of Mary.

If you knew what I believe you'd probably disagree with me too.

1. I do not believe in 3 in one there is only ONE God not three and his name is Jesus who manifests himself as the Holy Spirit.

2. I do not believe in the literal second coming I do believe(without getting too deep) that God will manefest himself through his people. In other words I believe in the manifested sons of God. Jesus himself came the second time and that was on Pentecost he just came in the form of the Holy Ghost

3. I believe in Bible as the literal word of God. Many in this modern day will tell you that Pauls writings do not always apply to us but I beg to differ. God's word is his word. Now the stuff about the hair is up to God. If he tells a woman she should not cut her hair than she shouldn't but if he doesn't deal with her about than she can, God reveals different things to different people. Non salvation issue unless God deals with you on this subject

4. Finally I do not celebrate Christmas or Easter as those Holidays are steeped in paganism. But hey again if God does not deal with you about them than Merry Christmas and Happy Easter. You are only accountable for what God gives you direction if that makes any sense. This in itself is a non salvation issue UNLESS God deals with you about celebrating these holidays and you shun him and do it anyway than thats another issue in itself

5.(forgot one) I believe in Kingdom Dominion(dont confuse it with that Word of Faith Prospiraty doctrine) and also I believe that Apostleship is alive and well in churches today.

Just to say that this thread is meant to be light hearted.
To all those that have strong opinions about the catholic church.......(and I am one of them....) I think we should air those in the Word forum.

Although I have opinions on the catholic church, I know that LOVE covers all and I love catholics along with everyone else. God says that those in positions of power will have their works judged by fire......so I can disagree with the establishment and some of the teachings of the catholic church but I can also trust God to judge them, which leaves me to just love the people, including the pope.

So lets enjoy this thread and not hurt or put down anyone. :)

what third day really needs to give the pope is the gospel of christ and tell him that there is only way to heaven and that's through the blood of JESUS CHRIST. Praying to mary and their other "gods" are a no-no if they ever took the time to actually read the Bible!

I guarantee you Pope Benedict is greatly aware of even the most theologically complex critiques of Catholic theology, and I have no doubt that he can refute them more eloquently than I could even begin to try to.

I have no doubt that the pope could obliterate you, me, or anyone else reading this board in theological and biblical debate -- and he could do it in a language of our choice.

The point is, he’s no dummy.

You and others here who don’t have even a close to accurate grasp of what Catholicism truly teaches would be well advised to refrain from commenting about subjects you know nothing about.

I know Christian charity is should be shown to all who post here. But if you’re gonna post B.S, I’m gonna call B.S.

Yeah an orange gomer tee shirt would of been so great i can see the pope wearing it in the vactian while listening to third day on his papal ipod even though i am born again christian i think that would be a great idea . since there has been alot of catholic bashing and people have to know that the catholics are our brothers and sisters in jesus too. one of my fave directors is catholic and so is brooke shields
