I like his stuff a lot; it's very deep, though.
He only really wrote one book: The Spiritual Man. The other books were collections of his sermons.
He lived an amazing life. He was young (late teens or early 20's) when he got thrown in jail for his faith, and within a year, he saw almost the entire prison population get saved! He wrote "The Spiritual man" when he was only 23.
He was the first I had heard to bring forth the then-radical concepts that the soul and spirit are two different things, a point about which many modern well-respected preachers, like John MacArthur, still disagree. But they are in error. Nee defends this concept very clearly, and once you understand it, it really affects your walk with God.
The negative on Nee is that one of his followers, Witness Lee, started a denomination called The Local Church. They have engaged in practices and beliefs that a lot of Christians disagree with, but I dare not elaborate, or they'll sue. They're notorious for suing anyone who disagrees with them. Unfortunately, many associate them with Watchman Nee, but there is no direct connection.
