Walked into my studio yesterday only to see an empty space on my wall where a piece of my art had been hanging.
No one seems to know what happened to it or who took it.
I'm sad, upset... it was one from my private collection that I didn't have for sale, as it was an older piece with sentimental value. :(
I am just going to imagine that it is hanging in some millionaire's mansion among other art treasures that have been taken from museums... and that someday when these valuable Van Goghs, Picasscos, Da Vincis and such are found, among them will be this Risi.
 Okay, yeah right... but... well, it helps to think that someone thought it that valuable and liked it so much that it was worth stealing.

That's a backhanded compliment if ever there was one. Shame on whoever did this. It must feel terrible not knowing. Hope it turns up, or someone feels bad enough to send you a check.

Yeah... maybe they could send a BLANK check since it wasn't even for sale... one of those "priceless" things (to me anyway).

REALLY bad thing is, I had had it professionally matted and framed a number of years ago and didn't want to take it all apart to make any prints of it... so the only one of it's kind was THAT original. :(

Thanks, Ems. It was a drawing I had done of our first kitty my husband and I had after we got married. We'll be married 30 yrs this year... makes me think I did the drawing about 25 years ago because I know it was before we moved to SC. My dad decided she should stay with him until our house was built. Once we moved in and got settled, he wouldn't give her back! He CLAIMED she wouldn't adjust to the kids again or SC very well. He had gotten so attached to her, we let her stay with him.

And thanks for the "ACK" and big hug, Jason. PM me how your show and sale went!

Will do. It's this Tuesday and Wednesday. By the way, Jerry's Artarama should give you a commission for recommending them to me. I've bought several things from them:

A portfolio
A steel display easel (displays up to four artwork)
Two cheap wood display easels
Two tabletop easels
8"x10" Krystal Seal archive bags
16"x20" Krystal Seal archive bags
