@all Opera users:
PLEASE, if you know of any reason that speaks against this then say so! ;)

@ all Firefox fans:
I already have adblock and the No script addons, but Iif you know of any further essential settings or extensions that make Firefox secure then please say so!

Oh, and if you know a way how to sort my imported bookmark system then say so too! I've already used the "organise bookmark" option and know how to sort my bookmarks in the interface that opens then, but when I try to use the regular "bookmark" option then the bookmarks are still unsorted! My solution so far has been to add a button that opens the "organise bookmark that opens a menu on the left side of my browser window, but I'm not too fond of this solution.

Yeah, the adblock addon is definitely a necessary one...it's nice being able to just right-click an ad and tell it to block it. Also, I'm not sure if you've found this out or not, but when you're blocking an ad, you can use asterisks to make the path more broad.

Another addon I like is the download toolbar addon or something like that. It just puts the downloads in the bottom toolbar instead of a window popping up for them. I can't think of any others that I have installed.

Personally, I like this addon here a lot:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

Be that as it may, I'm still not really content about Firefox' bookmark system. Opera's bookmark system is absolutely superior, but I'm willing to give Firefox a try for a while. Maybe it's other features make up for this single problem after all.

Time will tell. :)

SafeHistory and SafeCache help keep things a little more secure - they try and do a better job restricting what websites are allowed access to your browser history and cache. That way, a phishing website can't get access to your history to know that you bank with a particular bank, for example.

I'm not sure I understand the problem you're having with bookmarks.

I would say adblockPlus and the AdBlockPlus: Element Hiding Helper are improvements over the regular adblock. The Element Hiding Helper lets you get rid of any element on a page, so you can elminate text ads better for example.

When I click on "Bookmarks" then I get a completely unsorted list which is quite annoying! The "Bookmarks" button on the right of the arrow opens my bookmarks in a window within the browser though, but it is so inconvenient when you are so used to pull down menu! ;)

Strange. When I click the Booksmarks menu, it matches the Organize Bookmarks window. I don't know if this will help you, but you can drag & drop within th ebookmarks drop-down menu.

Maybe I'm experiencing these problems because I imported my bookmarks from Opera. I don't know though and I'm currently not exactly willing to delete and re-bookmark them all again...

Hm, I wonder whether my problems could have to do with the fact that I have sorted almost all of my bookmarks in subfolders. You know, one for music, one for politics and so on. It is those subfolders that don't seem to get sorted.

Do I need to manually load that add-on? I'm on version 2.0.0.11

I got FireFox kinda by accident. I upgraded my Real Player and it downloaded FireFox with it. I like it a lot better, though. The music toolbar where I can control my iTunes music player on the browser is pretty handy, as well as the AdBlock, the weather, and something else that's pretty cool. It's better than AOL Explorer, which I used to have.
