Nothing would surprise me. I can't wait to see my number. Mine did not come today.
But I still consider that small potatos compared to not getting presales up in time to get decent seats. That's a dealbreaker for me!

The envelope is return addressed "Crozet VA", I have no idea where Crozet is, but maybe it'd be faster for you to get it if you were to drive over there. ;)
I just got mine yesterday, so maybe yours will come in today...

Crozet is like an hour to an hour and a half away from me. Sounds like you are right, it would be quicker to hop in my truck and go get it myself!!!!!!! Maybe they are sending them alphabetically. I know your last name starts with the letter "C". My last name starts with the letter "H". Or maybe I am grasping at straws. Also, thanks so much for reminding me there is no mail delivery on Monday!! :( :( But hey, it is my day off too since it is a holiday. Maybe I WILL ride up there and get my package. ;) :P

Wired tee shirt... check!
Sticker... check!
Meet and Greet laminate... check!
Yep, all here. More stuff to clutter up my room. LOL. :P
Like everyone else, my laminate number does NOT match the Wired number given to me when I signed up in October, but just so long as you don't get extra perks for being the first 100 people to sign up or something, it doesn't really matter.
Wonder why we actually even NEED a laminate, when they give you those adhesive stickers to wear as the M&G pass when you get it at the box office the day of the show.
The Wired tee will probably be my new summertime concert shirt; at last one that, since it's white, will actually reflect the sun instead of sucking it in like all the dark shirts that I own.

Mary, if the overseas folk are starting to get theirs, I'd call them (Music Today, not the overseas folk ;) ), it's starting to sound like yours - especially considering how close you are to the shipping location - may have gotten lost in the mail, or your order info waylaid someplace. I'd give them a jingle, verify that they have your order info on file, and if they do, then ask them why people who live across the pond are getting their packages before someone who lives an hour away.
It just seems a little squirrelly to me, the fact that you've not gotten yours yet.

Yes, I suggest the same. I live just about an hour and a half from Crozet and I got my packet on the same day that everyone else first received it. Seems like you should have gotten yours. It might be lost or overlooked. Give them a call.

And not that it really has anything to do with anything except the fact that it's also regarding Music Today, two days ago I also got my - what turned out to be essentially USELESS, since I missed the presale and can't afford to get tickets to the Feb. show anyway - Blue Man Group "Roof Dwellers" membership package too. They have the exact same style laminates, only they're a little BLUER than the Wired ones. :P
But reason for mentioning, I signed on to that Thanksgiving Day, long after the Wired sign up, and even THAT's here already...

You should be so lucky. I called on Wednesday around 4:30 pm central time. I got a recording that said their normal business hours are something(maybe 11 am or noon)? to eleven pm eastern time and to call back during normal business hours, then I was promptly hung up on. I think 4:30 pm central qualifies as normal business hours. I then sent an email detailing my frustrations with the missing goodies, and the general beef I have with Wired. I requested a response within 48 hours. I just know I will not hear from them today. It's really frustrating!

I have to say one thing here....is this really something that we should be getting this upset over? I mean, c'mon now - in the big picture of life is this membership kit really that big of a deal?
Let's put life back in perspective here. ;)
With that said.....
I have not received mine yet either, and I am in GA. I just got off the phone with one of the CS reps at MusicToday and she told me that they are sending them out in bulk. One big bulk at a time, not separate/individually. If we weren't in the first couple bulk mailings, we will be in one of them coming.
I know we paid money for this, and for that there is reason for concern if standards haven't been met. But - I try to remember that this is a new program being offered, and like all new things - the kinks need to be worked out.

If it were just the package, I would not be as concerned. I have issues with presales up and running before I hear about them from the fan club directly. Thankfully these boards are my greatest source of knowledge. But I thought by signing up for the service, we would be notified at least a few hours in advance of when a presale starts. I think it's poorly managed all together. And if we all just act like everything is fine, nothing will change. I love the band, and that's not going to change, but if someone is not performing the service they are hired to perform, they need to be held accountable!

Like I said - the kinks are being worked out, but hey - if you want to hold them accountable then have at it. ;)
I personally am pleased with the level of service and the extras available already for my measly 30 bucks.
I spend more on coffee creamer each year than on this. And my creamer doesn't let me listen to live recordings and such 24/7. :P

I don't see any evidence that that is the case.
I don't see any evidence that that is the case.
Here's some evidence:
A week ago they didn't have any of the meet and greets up. They do now.
A week ago they didn't have the presales working. They do now. I know this because the Athens, GA show presale worked perfect and the show isn't listed yet on Ticketmaster or even at the theater they are performing yet.
Beginning of January, no one had received their new member kits. Alot of people are receiving them now.
Sounds to me that alot of the kinks are being worked out, IMHO. ;)

When I called, I was told that people are joining Wired all of the time and that Wired packages are being sent out. When I said that I had joined in October, and not recently, I was told that they (MusicToday) have 1 year to send out the package. So I assume that I will have my package sometime before Oct of 2008 since that is when my membership expires. Can't say I was happy with that, but I am not getting totally upset either. I joined for the Pre-sales and the M&G passes. No shows are coming to my area, so the problem with the Pre-sales has not affected me (though I do feel for those of my Gomer buddies who are having issues with the current pre-sales!). I was able to get M&G passes for the Christmas tour, and that was worth the price of the Wired Membership. I think all of you have made good points in this thread. The whole Wired thing has definitely had issues, but I do see that some of the problems have been corrected, and I am glad to know that Wired Packages are finally being mailed out. I am sure mine will come eventually and I hope that all of the issues will be addressed and corrected soon. In the meantime, I am happy with the Wired benefits I have received so far!! :D I have also sent an e-mail as well, just to see if I can get more details from whoever receives the inquiries thru e-mail. I was disappoined with the fact that the girl who took my phone call never even asked my name to check to see if my package had ever been sent. It could have been sent, but lost in the mail!!! She was not very helpful, maybe the e-mail will get more info!!

This is outragious!!! I have never heard such a thing!! They have a year in which to send out something we've paid for http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry014.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)?? Would any other company say such a thing - they have my money. I want my goods!!!
I'm sorry (Andi), but I find this totally unacceptable and I don't think Tai would be impressed if he heard about the lack of commitment from MusicToday.
Plus, from an International fan point of view, we had to pay more for our Wired Memership, with absolutely NO chance of meeting the guys or seeing a show this year. The t-shirt was, apart from access to the Wired site, the only thing we get out of it. I am actually so cross about this I am going to call the MusicToday on Monday. See if hearing an English accent will spur someone into action!!

What you're basically saying is that you don't know anything more about the status of your package now than you did before you called them. And that's not right. They should be able to get your name, pull up your account info and at least tell you whether or not your stuff has been shipped or not.
If it has, and it's been lost, they need to be made aware so that they can remedy the situation.
If it hasn't, and again, this is just me, you're probably more laid back than I am, my next call would be to my credit card company, explain the situation, that you purchased something in October, and after nearly 4 months, you've still not received everything that you purchased, and find out what kind of recourse you have at this point. There may be nothing, since the charge has already gone through and already been paid, but credit card companies are usually pretty good about making things good if you have had issues with a vendor over a purchase, at least mine have been the few times I've had to put charges in dispute. And if disputing the charge is an option at this point, if it were me, I would. You can always take it out of dispute once you get the package in hand, but that might be the little extra incentive that Music Today needs to get their act together and start getting these things out a little quicker, if credit card companies start contacting them on behalf of unhappy customers.
I know you say that you don't MIND waiting for it, you're like me, you've gotten what you initially wanted out of it, but it's really the principle of the thing. Music Today, while they're improving somewhat in some areas, still has lousy and inconsistent customer service, and that's not going to change if folks just sit back and let them be that way.
Again, that's just me, and I'm the first one to say that one of the things that I inherited from my dad's Italian side of the family is a quick temper when I feel I've been wronged (and the need to talk very emphatically with my hands LOL :P ), and while I have everything I'm supposed have from Wired at this point, I'm irked that they're getting away with jerking all of you around who are still waiting on your packages. If y'all are even remotely perturbed that you've still not gotten them, you ought do something about it.
Okay, end of my rant-on-behalf-of-others. ;) Now if y'all will excuse me, I'm going to go switch to decaf. :P

Thanks for your honest opinion, Karen. I sort of feel like I'm the only one out hear making a fuss. I believe in patience and understanding, but I don't think accepting poor service, or no delivery at all, from something you have paid for is being a troublemaker. Others may, and I'm fine with that. But it's been my experience in my 40 years, that in matters of consumer affairs, nice guys finish last. I'm not fond of finishing last, but that's just me, I guess.

I totally agree with everyone else who is upset. I understand Third Day has NOTHING to do with the packets not being here. I love those guys truly. I called once (fool that I am ) in December to check and the person I got at Music Today was VERY RUDE so I guess I will not call any more. It is not as though it is the end of the world or anything that my packet is not here, it is just so frustrating. I, like a lot of you, signed up in October....October for pity's sake and it is now February !!!!!!!!!!! I am not going to call them again as I just cant take having someone be nasty to me.....makes me back right down most of the time. So I guess I will wait. I don't see myself ordering anything from Music Today though. That is a shame. I would love to have at least one other Third Day shirt. Oh well........

That's what it's all about. In order to get repeat customers, you need to satisfy them. And I'm not sure how all the math works, but that seems to be hurting Third Day and Music Today--as well as you, the consumer. It IS a shame.

You see, it's like this Karen, I need someone like you beside me while I am on the phone telling me what to say!!! :D :P In all honesty, I am not happy about this at all, but I am not letting my blood pressure go up either. I am not done with MusicToday. After getting no real results over the phone, I did send the e-mail. And in that I gave my name and Wired Member # and asked if someone could tell me if my Wired package has been sent yet. I am going to give it a few days to see if anyone responds to the e-mail. If I don't get a response from that, then I will call MusicToday again and I will be better prepared this time. I will have a list of questions in front of me as well as any points I want to make to be my guide and help me along this time. The first time I called, I was taken aback by the girl's lack of concern as well as the fact that she was talking a mile a minute and obviously just wanted to get rid of me. I can be pushed around easily the first time, but the next time I will be better prepared, will expect lousy service from whoever answers the phone and be ready to push back a bit. I guess I see it this way, I am representing Christ and Third Day when I call and I also believe in the old saying you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I am going to continue to try to be nice about it, while also continueing to call and/or e-mail until I find out what is really going on. And if worse comes to worse, I do live just one hour from Crozet VA, and I may just take a little trip up there to pick up my package myself. I will bring along a friend as well. I have a dear friend who is a black belt in Karate. Maybe she will go with me!!! ;) The tip about callling the credit card company to dispute the charge is an EXCELLENT suggestion, and I will consider that if it comes to that. Thanks!!

I suspect that MusicToday didn't know that the numbers would be important to the fans. To expedite the packaging and shipping, I'm sure they printed up a bunch of laminates, and that they grab one out of the box for each order. I'm not sure what it would take to print each laminate separately, or to have them in order to be put in certain packages, but it would make it take longer to get the packages out. I know it's cool to have your real number, and I sympathize, but the numbers don't really mean anything, just how many people joined before you. :)
If you have not gotten your Wired package, please log into your Wired account and make sure that your mailing information is correct and that you have put your shirt size in the pull down menu that asks for it. MusicToday has said that this is the problem with some of the orders.

Mine arrived today!
It was a nice surprise...I had to make an unexpected pit stop home...you know what 2 year olds are like....and viola, next to my door was my parcel!
Praise the Lord!
It says I am Member 112 when I am 80. But thats neither here nor there. I dont think the member numbers make a difference.;) As long as they have the rest of my details correct - and they do - then I dont think it will matter. If I find it does, then I will speak up.
Cant wait to wear my new 3D shirt! woohoo!

Assuming you live in a large metro area and have a 10 lb phone book, save it and place it in the Wired package envelope when it finally arrives and mark return to sender. That way they will have to cover the postage on that baby. You have to take your victories where you can!:P
