I saw that one fox news i was watching jeff wayne's musical version of war of worlds at the time on you tube and when i saw it i thought of the line from the eve of the war
"The chances of anything coming from mars are million to one he said, the chances of anything coming from mars are million to he said, but still they come.
surprisingly enough the ufo news item was followed by something about weirdo tom cruise
speaking about war of the worlds Jeff Wayne's musical version of war of the worlds is way more superior than the movie of war of the worlds that starred tom cruise

This is actually pretty neat to watch unfold. Apparently quite a few public officials, including police saw the "UFO". Someone recorded some extremely low quality video off their phone, but all you can see from it is one light. It's incredibly bad video.

I saw on the History Channel that there's one passage in the Bible that refers to a UFO, but I'm not sure what it was. I think it's just a military test of some sort, as it usually is. Is there an air force base nearby?
EDIT: Saw this quote:
A spokesman for the 301st Fighter Wing at the Joint Reserve Base Naval Air Station tells the Associated Press that he's convinced there's a logical explanation for the lights. "I'm 90 percent sure this was an airliner," Maj. Karl Lewis tells the wire service. "With the sun's angle, it can play tricks on you."

Hinge head? I LOVE that! I've never heard that before. Makes me think of the Canadians in South Park (don't go crazy, I haven't watched it since I was saved).

Imagine if any Govt came forth and exposed the truth about UFOs? That they DO exist...and that they have detailed info about them?
There's be wide spread panic and chaos....
Plus all the Christians would cause a global catastrophy, scoffing all at the same time, thus changing the climate with all the hot air....;)

or it could be the govt actually makes the "ufo's" as test aircraft or whatever and they do have all the specs on them...why do ufo's have to be alien or not human? Couldn't something be a ufo to 99% of the population, yet be very identifiable to a select few...like those who designed it and are testing it?

I'd have to say that the test airplane thing is much more plausible than UFOs. I live near one of the nation's largest airforce bases *like, 5 miles away*, and we get strange aircraft through here a lot.
I once saw a "UFO". It was shining lights of colors I'd never seen. We followed it for several miles and watched it land on an air field just out of town. Guess what? It was a blimp. It was dark and the blimp was moving much in the way that UFOs are said to move.
Much as I want to believe in life outside of Earth, I just dont think there is.

Good points for sure....but alos lame excuses....
The spoiler?
Google: "Ancient art with UFOs" and see what you find...
Dozens of ancient art works from a variety of artists and town RECORDERS of obvious UFOs and sightings. People 600 years ago couldn't have dreamed that stuff up.....
Not to mention sightings from 50 or more years ago that described crafts doing things that weren't possible at that time....

Once we take the time frame into account, I think we can safely conclude that all this UFO nonsense can be put away. Naturally, there's only one thing this could have been...

I have had three 'ufo' encounters in my life (that I remember - there may be more where 'they' have wiped my memory) but I have never seen Santa fly past on his sleigh - maybe he travels faster than 3000mph.

I like Wiki - I do take it with a pinch of salt though...
When I check out a subject I know about, I usually find the Wiki entry to be innaccurate. When I check out a subject I do not know about, I always remember how the articles on subjects I did know about were innaccurate so what I do is read the article, choose some 'keywords' and phrases and use them to search elsewhere on the internet.
I do the same with books when I want to learn about a subject. I turn to the index, choose a bit I already know about, read that part of the book whilst i am in the store, and if it is accurate, I will consider purchasing the book, hoping that the other parts are correct too.
Regarding this recent sighting in Texas. What came to my mind almost immediately was 'where are all the pictures'? I know that the majority of people carry mobile 'phones nowadays and most of them have a camera facility.
If lots of pictures do surface, it would be easy to locate where the people were when they took the pictures and do some sort of triangulation to work out the route of the ufo.
As to the ufo being a mile long - how about it being a small aircraft towing a cable with a light on the end - maybe the government were testing out a new radar/detection system and needed to have the device in the air, but at a distance from the aircraft so the aircraft did not interfere with the test. I know that the space shuttle tried towing a device behind it in this way and nuclear submarines iften have a microphone/detector on the end of a long cable trailing out the rera of the sub'.

Read this earlier this week in the local paper. Stephenville is an hour and a half or so away from where I am. Here's links to the stories online, from the Abilene newspaper.

Seeing as how aliens aren't mentioned in any sort of Bible prophecy, or the Bible itself, I don't see why we should be too concerned about them. I'm more concerned about escaping the grasps of the beast whenever he comes and starts killing off believers.

This sighting was on CNNs Larry King tonight....
One researcher said he feels we are VERY close to full disclosure from our Govts on the existance of ETs.
Clemson, how do you know the Bible doesn't speak of ETs? No man can fully interpret the Bible.....or even grasp so much of what is hidden within it.

According to the Bible, we are the aliens! :
"And they [the godly] admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth."
(Petra's "We are strangers, we are aliens, we are not of this world" playing in the background)

But planets do... There is a long held theory, supported by science, that the star could well have been Jupiter.
There's only one UFO I'm looking forward to seeing... And that's a guy comin' down out of the clouds...

Is this it? Someone said earlier that they thought it was lousy video, and well, yup! It pretty much is. It could be anything.

This one looks kind of cool though, don't know if it's something else entirely, I think one of the comments says it was a blimp, but it's still rather nifty though.
