The origin of my board name pamcharlie

Hi there I hope i am allowed to do this but here is the orgin of my board name pamcharlie

it is a combination of my name pam and the name of my beloved seven year cat charlie who apparently loves third day too, since when he was a kitten i saw third day for the first time at parachute when they first came to new zealand and no i didn't take my kitten then now cat to para that's festival no no but when i got home i actual sang charlie a third day song and he purred.

he is so adornable and it is surprising that my cat likes third day.

are there any other fans who have pets that like third day too.

Hey there everyone my cat charlie as in my board name pamcharlie has been spending heaps of time outside in the lovely sunshine he is a summer cat loves summer and doesn't like autumn or winter too cold and wet to go outside he is fine :cool: if only i could take a pic of him and place on my posts he is such a honey of a cat.

Mine's Kiwi - cos I'm a Kiwi (that's what us New Zealanders call ourselves) after the BIRD, not the fuzzy brown fruit! And Songbird cos I love to sing - Kiwi don't actually sing they have more a kind of a long, shrill whistle that you don't often hear as they are very shy, nocturnal birds - so, Kiwisongbird is kind of strange really... I have friends here in Thailand now that call me Kiwisongbird instead of Sharon!

AND I know who Possum Borne is - guess there are a few pets named after him! I think Kevin (my husband) went a few rounds with either him or one of his team once while taking photos for a local newspaper...

I got mine from a 3-11 charge nurse at the worst job I ever held (staff nurse at Mobile Infirmary 5 Northwest). She took it from my real name Elizabeth Lou, and just started calling me that one evening out of the blue. Her happy spirit and sense of humor made working in that snake pit almost bearable. Now it's my user name for everything.

Awww, so sweet. What kind/color is he? I have two critters, meself. An orange tabby, Tiger (he'd been abandoned when we got him last year) and a black female DSH, Shadow, which we got last year, as well. They don't get along at all, but seem to love music. :) (I have K-LOVE on right now and they are chillin' to the music. ;))

Hmm...well Genna is one of the nicknames my ex fiance' used to call me...Its just a short version of my real name, Genesis....20 because my fave NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart, drives the 20 car...

My former kitty, Little Poopsie *dont ask...mom named her*, used to LOVE Jennifer Knapp. She would sit and listen to her with me.

I think Angel just likes to listen to me and Mom sing. She'll kinda sit there and stare at us.

Charlie my seven year old cat is very chatting with me lately and he is getting every chance to go outside and spend time in the late summer early autumn fall sunshine. One thing he does not like at all is going to the vet for his check ups and immunisations but they are important for his health.

Do you brush Charlie's teeth? My Shadow won't let me near her to do that, and I haven't tried it with my Tiger yet. If so, is there a trick to it?

I don't brush charlie's teeth but i can highly recommend a product that my vet recommended for charlie it is in the hill science diet range at the vets call T/D it is really great for feline teeth since it cleans away any tartar and stains on the teeth and i have tried to brush charlie's teeth in the past but if your vet has the hills science diet range i suggest you get T/D charlie loves it he has for his meals and his teeth are looking heaps cleaner.

When i am feeding charlie he does something very funny i am pouring the t/d into his bowl and he starts to dig into the food before i have a chance to pour any into his bowl so i have to place a handful of the crunchy t/d in his bowl . he just loves it so much. I have noticed a great improvement in his wellbeing and his coat too. he is health and now he is even healthier.

Everyone who knows my cat charlie whom i have chatted about on this board he had a great easter too. and he is getting as much sunshine as he can at the moment because in two weeks daylight savings ends in new zealand , which means that he will be spending time inside due the rain we get in autumn and winter.

I love hearing about charlie. when i lived in nashville, my jespah loved for me to take hid out on the balcony so he could lie in the sun. h still miss him.

Basil is a white and ginger cat , charlie is busy preening at the moment his paws . and he preened one of my toes before it was funny.

Jespah was the same color as basil! he had blue eyes, his fur felt like suede and he loved learning things. so charlie was trying to give you a pedicure?

I just wanted to share a pic of my late kitty, Pumpkin. He loved and blessed me for two years before he had to be put down. I miss him so much! :(

Well charlie is trying to keep away from basil because basil is rough and tumble for charlie and guess what charlie has actually hissed at basil , his growl is very authoritive but i don't know what my boys will after this weekend since daylight savings finishes and they will be having less days outside due the rain we get in autumn and winter, they are both well , just a sec i am going to get charlie. charlie is sititng with me now.

In other words they need to get along peacefully - and soon? is charlie a lap cat? i use to always have the older cat unhappy with the younger.

No they don't catch any wildlife there is no wildlife for them to catch they mainly hunt birds and play fight and check out the neighbours and charlie hides from basil

I taught Angel to chase this one cat out the yard. She likes to chase the birdies out. Angel keeps the yard free of nasty mean cats that would otherwise hurt the birds. Its a birdie paradise.

Oh dear after toddlers church on sunday my two boys charlie and basil did something really naughty they harassed a bird that was bigger than them i was shocked thankfully i was able to distract them from further attacking the bird

Yeah Angel is really a handful. We have this little lizard that lives somewhere on our porch, I think behind the lamp. I call him the porch lizard. Angel really trips out when she sees him. She'll stare and bark. lol

My kitties, Tiger and Shadow, don't get along that well, either. We've had Shadow a month or two longer than Tiger and they're both older. I think it's part jealousy (they love to fight over who's gonna sit in my lap), but also part territorial, too. Maybe Charlie and Basil are fighting for their turf?

Apart from running about the place he loves having naps, God gave our feline friends rechargeable batteries that's why they nap alot since they have so much energy.

I agree about rechargeable batteries. when my last cat was a baby he went non-stop for 12 hrs. and then he fell over and crashed only to wake up and start over. he was a handful!

OK Update on Charlie and Basil , They are both well, and not liking the cold at all charlie is with me at the moment. he purs hi to everyone here on the third day message boards . and basil is being active as jumping around and causing all kinds of cat choas he followed me last friday when i was going to catch the bus so i had to chase him back inside and this morning i had to grab him before he followed me and i said when i picked him "Basil it's the rapture . be ready for you don't know when ceiling cat will return." he is such a character and so is charlie . oh basil purs hi to everyone here too. but charile has first rights to say hi. and please keep praying for charlie and basil too. they thank u for your prayers too.

Hugs and prayers to your loves. in cold weather my cats loved to cuddle in blankets i'd knitted for them.

Charlie is dark grey with chocolate colouring and green eyes and basil is white with ginger patches and yellow eyes

Charlie likes going outside to get fresh air but on cold wet and frosty days stays inside to keep warm.

Love their colors. does it snow (besides in the mountains) and if so, how do they react to it? my friend's cat won't go out in it.

It only snows in the south island and the central north island at the ski resorts and in cities in the south island . one of our ski resorts on a volcano

Actually, My origional screen name was Gzusfreq (Jesus Freak), however, after nearly 3 years of being away from the boards, I have long forgotten my pass word and the email addy I used to have is gone too making pass word recovery impossible.

Soo, I now have a new screen name which is my name followed by 'was here'.
