:o Alright here's the deal. I am not a very good guitarist but I absolutly love the talk box I've been wanting one ever since I hear pete Framptons Do You Feel Like We Do. It just gives me chills everytime I listen to it:D :D. My dad thinks it would be a waste of money since I really dont play that well but I actually think it would be a great learning tool somehow someway. Anyway..........

The problem is, is that I don't know if my amp is capable of using one I tecnically amp challenged:o :o . I went to the music store and the guy that I actually sold me the amp said I needed an amp with two channels and he does not remember if the one he sold me had those. He also told me that the boxes ar like 400 dollars but Im looking at one now for 169. Here is the link

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Dunlop-Heil-Talk-Box?sku=151230

Its a 65 Crate amp watt crate amp with three settings( whatever you call those things)

they are solo, rythem and lead . also has a sick reverb effect on it. But I have not tweaked it to my specs just right.

The amp also came with a foot switch so that I can go from setting to setting with out using the buttons on the amp.

I tell you though for 65 watts she is very loud even at the lowest volume. Do you guys think I can use a talk box

Its a Crate Gt65
the serial is CNADR70151

thanks

for the dunlop you will need a separate amp rig, I forget the actual specifics... If I remember correctly You can put the rocktron and danelectro one in line with your normal effects and run it to your normal amp. As from my understanding the talkbox is not exactly easy to learn, you're really not talking but mouthing the words/syllables and so forth to a degree where you will need to learn how to properly mouth to get the right sound.

Vintage Talk boxes and the Framptone Talkbox (yes Framptone... ie Frampton) are around 400, and also with the dunlop the surgical tubing is not replaceable, at least if i remember correctly

I'm not gonna tell you yes or no, because good is relative... But I would recommend being competent as a lead guitarist before taking up the talk box.

you shouldn't need a two channel amp if you get a simple talkbox setup like the Dano one--it runs for about $100, and is completely self-contained. never tried one, but for the price it might be worth checking out... :)

somebody recommended a Rocketron Banshee. Are those any good. This guy sells the exact same amp that I have and he said the Heil would be a problem.
