Why is it illegal to remove the paper thing attached to the mattress for a bed?:confused:

That is for the consumer removal only. It's not against the law for you, the customer, once you've bought it and brought it home. But it IS illlegal for the vendor or store to remove it.

I think the original purpose was to prevent retailer fraud. That way they could'nt claim that the mattress was something that it wasn't. Just a guess though.
